3. Installation
3.1 Mounting the Head Unit
The APSW-6000BTU is designed for easy installation into a standard 3-inch round mounting hole.
- Choose a suitable location on your vessel's dashboard or console that is dry and protected from direct sunlight, yet accessible for operation.
- Cut a 3-inch (approximately 76mm) diameter hole using a hole saw. Ensure there is sufficient depth behind the mounting surface for the unit and wiring.
- Insert the head unit into the mounting hole.
- Secure the unit using the provided mounting bracket and hardware. Tighten the nuts evenly to ensure a snug fit without over-tightening.

3.2 Wiring Connections
Refer to the wiring diagram below and the labels on the included wiring harness for correct connections. Incorrect wiring can cause damage to the unit or vehicle's electrical system.
- Power (Yellow): Connect to a constant 12V DC power source (battery positive).
- Accessory (Red): Connect to a switched 12V DC power source (ignition).
- Ground (Black): Connect to a reliable chassis ground.
- Antenna (Blue): Connect to the power antenna or amplifier remote turn-on lead.
- Speaker Outputs (Colored Pairs): Connect to your marine speakers. Ensure correct polarity.
- RCA Outputs (White/Red): Connect to external amplifiers if used.

Operation
1. Basic Controls
The front panel features a 3-inch high-definition LCD display and several control buttons and a rotary knob.
- Power/Mute Button (⏻ / 🔇): Press to turn the unit ON/OFF. Press briefly to MUTE/UNMUTE audio.
- Rotary Knob: Turn to adjust volume. Press to select menu options.
- MENU Button: Press to access the main menu or settings.
- Previous Track/Tune Down (⏮): Press to go to the previous track or tune down radio frequency.
- Next Track/Tune Up (⏭): Press to go to the next track or tune up radio frequency.
2. Source Selection
Press the MENU button repeatedly to cycle through available sources: FM, AM, Bluetooth Audio, USB Audio.
3. Radio Operation (AM/FM)
- Tuning: Use the ⏮ and ⏭ buttons to manually tune frequencies. Press and hold for automatic seek tuning.
- Presets: The unit supports 18 FM and 12 AM presets. To save a station, tune to the desired frequency, then press and hold the rotary knob until the preset number flashes. Turn the knob to select a preset slot, then press to confirm.
- Recalling Presets: In radio mode, briefly press the rotary knob to cycle through saved presets.
4. Bluetooth Audio Streaming
- Ensure Bluetooth is enabled on your mobile device.
- Select "Bluetooth Audio" as the source on the head unit. The display will show "PAIRING".
- On your mobile device, search for Bluetooth devices and select "APSW-6000BTU".
- Once paired, the unit will display "CONNECTED". You can now stream audio from your device.
- Use the ⏮ and ⏭ buttons to control track playback.
5. USB Playback and Charging
- Insert a USB drive containing MP3 or WMA audio files into the USB port.
- Select "USB Audio" as the source. The unit will automatically begin playback.
- Use the ⏮ and ⏭ buttons to navigate tracks.
- The USB port also provides charging for compatible mobile devices.
6. Audio Settings
Press the MENU button and navigate to "Audio Settings" to adjust:
- Bass: Adjust low-frequency output.
- Treble: Adjust high-frequency output.
- Balance: Adjust left/right speaker output.
- Fader: Adjust front/rear speaker output (if applicable).
Maintenance
- Cleaning: Use a soft, damp cloth to clean the unit's display and buttons. Avoid abrasive cleaners or solvents.
- Protective Cover: Use the provided waterproof silicone protective cover when the unit is not in use or during harsh weather conditions to extend its lifespan.
