4. Turntable Components

5. Setup

Follow these steps to set up your turntable:

  1. Placement: Place the turntable on a flat, stable surface away from speakers to prevent feedback.
  2. Install Platter: Carefully place the platter onto the center spindle. Ensure it sits securely.
  3. Place Slipmat: Lay the felt slipmat on top of the platter.
  4. Install Headshell: Attach the headshell (with cartridge and stylus pre-installed) to the tonearm. Secure it by turning the locking ring clockwise.
  5. Balance Tonearm:
    • Gently remove the stylus protector.
    • Lower the cue lever.
    • Rotate the counterweight until the tonearm is balanced horizontally and floats freely.
    • Return the tonearm to its rest.
  6. Set Tracking Force: Rotate the numbered ring on the counterweight to '0' without moving the counterweight itself. Then, rotate the entire counterweight counter-clockwise to the recommended tracking force (refer to cartridge specifications, typically 2-4 grams for DJ cartridges).
  7. Adjust Anti-skate: Set the anti-skate control to match the tracking force value.
  8. Install Dust Cover: Attach the dust cover to the hinges at the rear of the turntable.
  9. Connect Audio: Connect the RCA Line-Out cables from the turntable to the appropriate input on your amplifier or mixer.
  10. Connect Power: Plug the power cable into the AC IN port on the rear of the turntable, then into a wall outlet.

6. Operating Instructions

  1. Power On: Flip the POWER switch on the rear panel to the 'ON' position.
  2. Select Speed: Press the '33' or '45' button to select the appropriate playback speed for your record. Use the 45 RPM adapter for records with larger center holes.
  3. Place Record: Carefully place a record on the slipmat.
  4. Start Platter: Press the START/STOP button to begin platter rotation.
  5. Position Tonearm: Lift the tonearm using the cue lever. Move the tonearm over the desired track on the record.
  6. Lower Tonearm: Gently lower the cue lever to place the stylus onto the record.
  7. Adjust Pitch: Use the PITCH CONTROL slider to fine-tune the playback speed if needed.
  8. Stop Playback: At the end of the record, lift the tonearm using the cue lever and return it to its rest. Press the START/STOP button to stop the platter.

7. USB Recording
