2. Setup and Installation
Follow these steps to replace your refrigerator door handle. Always ensure the appliance is unplugged before beginning any repair.
- Safety First: Always unplug the refrigerator from the power outlet before starting the installation.
- Remove Old Handle: Open the refrigerator door. Use a Phillips head screwdriver to remove the two screws securing the existing handle.
- Disengage Locking Tab: Turn the handle to the side and push inward to disengage any locking tabs, then carefully pull the old handle off.
- Install New Handle: First, place one end of the new handle over the pin on the refrigerator door. Push it to the side to lock it into place.
- Secure Handle: Swing the handle over to align with the screw holes. Secure it firmly with the two screws using a Phillips head screwdriver.
- Repeat for Other Handle: If replacing both handles, repeat the same procedure for the other door.
- Restore Power: Once both handles are securely installed, plug the refrigerator back into the power outlet.

3. Maintenance
To ensure the longevity and appearance of your new refrigerator door handles, regular cleaning is recommended.
- Cleaning: Wipe the handles regularly with a soft cloth dampened with mild soap and water. Avoid abrasive cleaners or harsh chemicals that could damage the plastic finish.
- Inspection: Periodically check the screws for tightness. If they become loose, gently tighten them with a Phillips head screwdriver to prevent wobbling or detachment.
