6.2 CTCSS/CDCSS (Tone Squelch)
CTCSS (Continuous Tone Coded Squelch System) and CDCSS (Continuous Digital Coded Squelch System) are sub-audible tones that allow multiple groups to share the same channel without hearing each other's conversations. 6.3 Time-out Timer (TOT)
The TOT feature limits the amount of time the radio can continuously transmit. This prevents accidental prolonged transmissions and saves battery life. The duration is programmable.
6.4 Low Battery Alarm
When the battery level is low, the radio will emit an audible alert, indicating that it needs to be recharged.
7. Maintenance
- Cleaning: Use a soft, damp cloth to clean the radio's surface. Do not use harsh chemicals or solvents.
- Battery Care: To prolong battery life, avoid overcharging or completely draining the battery. Store the radio and battery in a cool, dry place when not in use for extended periods.
- Antenna: Ensure the antenna is securely attached. Do not operate the radio without an antenna, as this can damage the unit.
8. Troubleshooting
