4.2 Paint Preparation and Viscosity Adjustment
Proper paint viscosity is crucial for optimal spraying performance. Use the included viscosity measuring cup to test your paint.

Image 4.2: The viscosity measuring cup used for paint preparation.
- Fill the viscosity cup with the paint you intend to use.
- Measure the time it takes for the paint to completely drain from the cup.
- Compare this time to the recommended viscosity chart below. If the paint drains too slowly, dilute it with the appropriate thinner (water for water-based paints, mineral spirits for oil-based paints) and re-test until the desired viscosity is achieved.

Image 4.3: Chart illustrating ideal viscosity times for various paint types using a viscosity funnel. Paint should drip off within 40 seconds. If it takes longer, the paint is too thick for the sprayer.
Important: If paint drips off over 40 seconds, it is too thick and the spray gun cannot be used effectively. Further dilution is required.
5. Operating Instructions
5.1 Filling the Container
- Ensure the paint is properly thinned according to the viscosity guidelines.
- Unscrew the paint container from the sprayer body.
- Pour the prepared paint into the container, ensuring not to overfill (maximum 800ml).
- Securely reattach the container to the sprayer body.
5.2 Adjusting Spray Flow
The sprayer features a flow adjusting knob to control the amount of paint sprayed. Turn the knob to increase or decrease the flow as needed for your application.

5.3 Selecting Spray Pattern
The nozzle can be adjusted to produce three different spray patterns: vertical, horizontal, and round. To change the pattern, rotate the air cap to align the desired pattern with the nozzle.
- Vertical Shape: Ideal for horizontal surfaces.
- Horizontal Shape: Ideal for vertical surfaces.
- Round Shape: Suitable for corners, edges, and small objects.
