Introduction
This manual provides detailed instructions for installing the A-Tech 8GB Kit (2x4GB) DDR4 3200MHz SODIMM RAM modules into compatible systems, specifically the Acer Nitro 5 AN515-57-5700 gaming laptop. Proper installation ensures optimal performance and system stability. Please read all instructions carefully before proceeding.
Safety Information
Always observe the following safety precautions when handling computer components:
- Electrostatic Discharge (ESD) Prevention: ESD can damage electronic components. Before touching any internal parts, ground yourself by touching a metal object (e.g., an unpainted part of the computer chassis) or use an anti-static wrist strap.
- Power Disconnection: Ensure the laptop is completely powered off and disconnected from the AC adapter. Remove the battery if possible.
- Handle with Care: Hold RAM modules by their edges, avoiding contact with the gold connectors or integrated circuits.
- Work Area: Perform the installation on a clean, stable, and well-lit surface.
Compatibility
This A-Tech 8GB Kit (2x4GB) DDR4 3200MHz SODIMM RAM is specifically designed and tested for compatibility with the Acer Nitro 5 AN515-57-5700 Gaming Laptop (PN: NH.QESAA.002). It is also compatible with other systems requiring DDR4 3200MHz SODIMM (260-Pin), Non-ECC Unbuffered, 1.2V memory modules. Always verify your system's memory specifications before installation.

Setup and Installation
Follow these steps carefully to install your new A-Tech RAM modules:
- Prepare Your Laptop:
- Save all open work and close all applications.
- Shut down your Acer Nitro 5 AN515-57-5700 completely.
- Disconnect the AC power adapter and any other connected peripherals.
- If your laptop has a removable battery, remove it. For internal batteries, consult your laptop's service manual for disconnection procedures.
- Ground yourself to prevent ESD.
- Access the RAM Slots:
Carefully turn your laptop over and locate the access panel for the memory. You may need a small Phillips head screwdriver to remove the screws securing the panel. Gently pry open the panel to expose the RAM slots.
- Remove Existing RAM (if applicable):
If you are replacing existing RAM modules, gently push the small metal clips on both sides of the module outwards. The module will pop up at an angle. You can then carefully pull it out of the slot.
- Install New A-Tech RAM:
Align the notch on the A-Tech SODIMM module with the notch in the memory slot. Insert the module at a 45-degree angle, ensuring it is fully seated. Then, push down firmly on the module until the metal clips on both sides snap into place, securing the module horizontally.

- Reassemble Your Laptop:
Once both modules are securely installed, replace the access panel and fasten the screws. Reconnect the battery (if removed) and the AC power adapter.
- First Boot and Verification:
Power on your laptop. The system may take a moment longer than usual to boot for the first time as it detects the new memory. Once booted, you can verify the installed RAM in your operating system's system information (e.g., Task Manager in Windows, About This Mac in macOS, or system settings in Linux).
Operating and Verification
After installation, it is important to verify that the new RAM is recognized and functioning correctly.
- Windows: Right-click on "This PC" or "My Computer," select "Properties." The "Installed RAM" or "Memory" section will display the total recognized memory. Alternatively, open Task Manager (Ctrl+Shift+Esc), go to the "Performance" tab, and select "Memory."
- BIOS/UEFI: During startup, press the designated key (often F2, Del, F10, or F12) to enter the BIOS/UEFI settings. Navigate to the system information or memory section to confirm the detected RAM amount and speed.
If the system does not boot or the RAM is not fully recognized, refer to the Troubleshooting section.
Maintenance
A-Tech RAM modules are designed for long-term reliability and generally require no specific maintenance after installation. To ensure continued performance:
- Keep your laptop's internal components clean by periodically removing dust buildup, which can affect cooling and component lifespan.
- Avoid exposing your laptop to extreme temperatures or humidity.
Troubleshooting
If you encounter issues after installing your A-Tech RAM, consider the following:
- System Does Not Boot / Black Screen:
- Ensure the RAM modules are fully seated in their slots. Re-seat them firmly.
- Verify that the notches on the modules align correctly with the slots.
- If you installed multiple modules, try booting with only one module at a time to identify a potentially faulty module or slot.
- Ensure the laptop battery is properly connected and the AC adapter is supplying power.
- Incorrect RAM Amount Detected:
- Check if both modules are properly seated.
- Confirm that your operating system is 64-bit to fully utilize more than 4GB of RAM.
- Consult your laptop's manual to ensure the total RAM capacity is supported by your system.
- System Instability / Blue Screens:
- Re-seat the RAM modules.
- Run a memory diagnostic tool (e.g., Windows Memory Diagnostic) to check for errors.
- Ensure your system's BIOS/UEFI is up to date.
If troubleshooting steps do not resolve the issue, please contact A-Tech Technical Support.
