4. Installation

4.1 Compatibility

This car radio is compatible with the following vehicle models:

• BMW 3 Series E46 (1998-2001 with old 17-pin connector)
• BMW 3 Series E46 (2002-2006 with new 40-pin connector)
• BMW M3 (1998-2006)
• Rover 75 (1999-2004)
• MG ZT (2001-2004)

Important: Please verify your dashboard dimensions before purchase to ensure proper fit. Installation dimensions: 248mm (top width) x 118mm (height) x 246mm (bottom width).

4.2 Wiring Diagram

Refer to the wiring diagram for correct connections. Ensure all cables are securely connected to their respective ports. The unit includes a CANBUS decoder for steering wheel control functionality.

4.3 Antenna Connections

• GPS Antenna: Connect the GPS antenna and position it in a location with a clear view of the sky for optimal signal reception.
• Wi-Fi Antenna: Connect the Wi-Fi antenna for wireless network connectivity.
• 4G Antennas: Connect the two 4G antennas for mobile data connectivity (requires a micro 4G SIM card).

5. Setup

5.1 Initial Boot and Language Settings

Upon first power-on, the system will boot up. Follow the on-screen prompts to select your preferred language (German, English, Spanish, French, Italian are supported) and initial settings.

5.2 Network Configuration

• Wi-Fi: Go to Settings > Network > Wi-Fi. Select your Wi-Fi network and enter the password to connect. The unit supports both 2.4GHz and 5GHz bands.
• 4G: Insert a micro 4G SIM card into the designated slot. The unit will automatically detect and connect to the 4G network.

5.3 GPS Setup

The unit comes with a pre-installed offline map. For online navigation, ensure you have a stable internet connection (Wi-Fi or 4G). You can download and use other navigation apps like Waze, Sygic, or HereWeGo from the app store.

6. Operating Instructions

6.1 Basic Functions

• Radio: Access the FM/AM radio tuner. Use the on-screen controls to scan for stations, save presets, and enable RDS functions.
• Media Player: Play music, videos, and view photos from internal storage, USB drives, or TF cards.

6.2 Wireless CarPlay and Android Auto

Connect your iPhone (via Bluetooth for wireless CarPlay) or Android smartphone (via Bluetooth/USB for wireless/wired Android Auto) to access phone features directly on the car radio screen. This allows for safer use of navigation, music, and messaging while driving.

6.3 Bluetooth 5.0

The integrated Bluetooth 5.0 module supports hands-free calling, phonebook synchronization, and music streaming. Pair your phone via Bluetooth settings to use these features.

6.4 DSP Amplifier

6.5 Steering Wheel Control
