The remote control provides full functionality for operating your tuner. Insert 2x AAA batteries into the battery compartment before first use.

5. Setup

5.1. Connecting the Tuner

  1. Connect Antenna: Connect your DVB-T/T2 antenna cable to the ANT IN port on the rear panel of the tuner.
  2. Connect to TV:
    • For HD TVs: Connect an HDMI cable from the HD OUT (HDMI) port on the tuner to an HDMI input on your TV.
    • For older TVs: Connect a SCART cable from the SCART port on the tuner to the SCART input on your TV.
  3. Connect Power: Connect the power adapter to the tuner's power input and then plug it into a wall outlet.
  4. Insert Batteries: Open the battery compartment on the remote control and insert 2x AAA batteries, observing polarity.

5.2. First-Time Installation and Channel Scan

  1. Turn on your TV and select the correct HDMI or SCART input source that the tuner is connected to.
  2. Power on the Cabletech URZ0336B tuner using the power button on the front panel or remote control.
  3. The first-time installation wizard should appear on your TV screen. Follow the on-screen prompts.
  4. Select your preferred language and country.
  5. Initiate an Automatic Search for channels. The tuner will scan for all available DVB-T/T2 channels in your area. This process may take several minutes.
  6. Once the scan is complete, the tuner will save the found channels and display the first channel.

Note: If you experience poor signal quality, adjust your antenna position or consider using a signal amplifier.

The 7-day EPG provides a schedule of current and upcoming programs.

6.3. PVR (Program Recording) and Timeshift

Connect a USB storage device (e.g., USB flash drive or external hard drive) to one of the USB 2.0 ports to use PVR and Timeshift functions.

6.4. Media Playback

The tuner supports playback of various media files from a connected USB storage device.

6.5. Supported Applications

The tuner supports various online applications when connected to the internet via an external MT7601 Wi-Fi adapter (not included).

Note: An external MT7601 Wi-Fi adapter is required for internet connectivity and access to these applications.

Set up parental control to restrict access to certain channels or programs based on age ratings.

6.7. Timer Function

The timer function allows you to schedule the tuner to turn on/off at specific times or to switch to a particular channel.

7. Maintenance

7.1. Cleaning

To clean the device, disconnect it from the power supply and wipe the exterior with a soft, dry cloth. Do not use liquid or aerosol cleaners.

7.2. Software Update

Software updates can improve performance and add new features. Updates are performed via the USB port.

  1. Download the latest firmware file from the official Cabletech support website (if available).
  2. Copy the firmware file to the root directory of a USB flash drive.
  3. Connect the USB flash drive to the tuner's USB port.
  4. Go to the "System" or "Tools" menu, then select "Software Update" or "Upgrade by USB".
  5. Follow the on-screen instructions to complete the update. Do not power off the device during the update process.
