Introduction

This manual provides comprehensive instructions for the safe and effective operation of your Aputure LS 600x Pro Bi-Color LED Video Light. The LS 600x Pro is a powerful 600W point-source LED designed for professional filmmaking, offering a variable CCT range from 2700K to 6500K and high color accuracy. Its robust, weather-resistant design and versatile control options make it suitable for various production environments.

Upon unpacking, please verify that all the following components are included:

Setup

1. Mounting the Lamp Head

Attach the LS 600x Pro Lamp Head to a sturdy light stand using its integrated yoke. Ensure the stand is capable of supporting the weight of the light and any attached modifiers. The yoke features a locking handle on each side for smooth tilt adjustment and secure locking.

2. Connecting the Control Box

Connect the LS 600x Control Box to the Lamp Head using the provided 5-Pin Weatherproof Head Cable. Ensure the connection is secure to maintain weather resistance. The control box can be mounted to the light stand or placed on a stable surface.

3. Power Connection

Connect the Neutrik powerCON TRUE1 TOP AC Power Cable to the control box and a suitable power source. The LS 600x Pro supports multi-voltage battery plates (V-Mount, Gold Mount, Block Batteries) or a 48V 3-Pin XLR Input for portable power solutions.

Operating Instructions

1. Powering On/Off

Press the power button on the control box to turn the unit on or off. The LCD screen will illuminate, displaying current settings.

2. Adjusting Brightness (Intensity)

Rotate the top control knob on the control box to adjust the light intensity from 0% to 100%. The LCD screen will show the current percentage.

3. Adjusting Color Temperature (CCT)

Rotate the bottom control knob to adjust the color temperature (CCT) between 2700K (warm tungsten) and 6500K (cool daylight). The LCD screen will display the selected Kelvin value.

4. Special Lighting Effects (FX)

The LS 600x Pro includes 9 built-in lighting effects. Navigate through the menu on the control box to select effects such as Paparazzi, Fireworks, Lightning, Faulty Bulb, TV, Pulsing, Strobe, Explosion, and Fire. Adjust parameters for each effect using the control knobs.

5. App Control (Sidus Link)

Download the Sidus Link app on your smartphone or tablet. Enable Bluetooth on your device and open the app to connect to the LS 600x Pro. The app provides comprehensive control over all light functions, including intensity, CCT, effects, and DMX settings.

6. DMX and Ethernet Control

For professional studio integration, the LS 600x Pro supports DMX512 5-Pin XLR In and Out, sACN, ArtNet, and LumenRadio CRMX compatibility. Refer to the DMX section in the full manual for detailed setup and configuration.

Maintenance

1. Cleaning

Regularly clean the lamp head and control box with a soft, dry cloth. Avoid using abrasive cleaners or solvents that could damage the finish or internal components. Ensure the unit is powered off and unplugged before cleaning.

2. Storage

When not in use, store the LS 600x Pro in its durable rolling carrying case in a cool, dry environment. Protect the unit from extreme temperatures and humidity. Ensure all cables are neatly coiled to prevent damage.

3. Weather Resistance

The LS 600x Pro features a weather-resistant design, including waterproof fans, sealed internal structures, rubber caps for ports, and weatherproof connectors. While designed to withstand light rain and water spray, avoid submerging the unit or exposing it to heavy downpours.
