3. Setup

Before first use, follow these steps:

  1. Unpack: Carefully remove all components from the packaging. Dispose of packaging materials responsibly.
  2. Clean Removable Parts: Wash the glass carafe, its lid, and the filter holder with warm, soapy water. Rinse thoroughly with clean water and dry. These parts are also dishwasher safe.
  3. Position Appliance: Place the coffee maker on a dry, stable, and heat-resistant surface. Ensure there is adequate space around the appliance for ventilation.
  4. Initial Rinse Cycle:
    • Fill the water tank to the 'MAX' level with fresh, cold water.
    • Place an empty size 4 paper filter into the filter holder.
    • Place the empty glass carafe with its lid on the warming plate.
    • Run a full brewing cycle without adding coffee grounds.
    • Discard the water from the carafe. This process cleans the internal components and removes any manufacturing residues.

4. Operating Instructions

Follow these steps to brew coffee:

  1. Fill Water Tank: Open the water tank lid and fill the tank with fresh, cold water up to the desired number of cups. The maximum capacity is 1.5 liters (12 cups). Do not exceed the 'MAX' mark.

  3. Insert Filter: Place a size 4 paper filter into the filter holder.
  4. Add Coffee Grounds: Add the desired amount of ground coffee into the paper filter. A general recommendation is 7-8 grams of medium-ground coffee per 125ml cup, but adjust to your taste.
  5. Position Carafe: Ensure the glass carafe with its lid is securely placed on the warming plate beneath the filter holder.
  6. Start Brewing: Plug in the appliance. Use the rotary knob on the control panel to select your desired settings if applicable (e.g., timer). Press the start button (often integrated into the knob) to begin the brewing process. The coffee maker will initiate a pre-infusion (blooming) phase and utilize its degassing function to optimize flavor extraction.

  8. Warming Function: Once brewing is complete, the warming plate will automatically activate to keep your coffee hot for up to 40 minutes. The integrated timer on the display will show how long the coffee has been kept warm.
