4. Operating Instructions (How to Play)
4.1 Game Objective
The goal of Monopoly World Tour is to be the first player to complete and stamp four Travel Goals.
4.2 Gameplay Overview
Players take turns rolling the dice and moving their token around the board. Instead of buying traditional properties, players buy Destination spaces. Each Destination card has a unique Travel Goal. When a player lands on a Destination that matches their current Travel Goal, they use their token stamper to mark that space on the dry-erase board. The game also features Chance cards and Travel Journal cards that introduce various events and challenges.
4.3 Detailed Rules
- Starting the Game: The player who rolls the highest number on the dice goes first. Play proceeds clockwise.
- Player Turn: On your turn, roll both dice and move your token that many spaces clockwise around the board.
- Landing on a Space: The action you take depends on the space you land on:
- Destination Spaces: These are the equivalent of properties. If you land on an unowned Destination, you may buy it for the price indicated on the space. If you choose not to buy it, it goes up for auction. If you land on an owned Destination, you must pay the owner a Tour Fee, as indicated on their Destination card. Each Destination card also has a specific Travel Goal. If you land on a Destination that is your current Travel Goal, you use your token stamper to stamp that space on the dry-erase gameboard.
- Chance Cards: If you land on a Chance space, draw the top card from the Chance deck, read it aloud, and follow its instructions. Return the card to the bottom of the deck when done.
- Travel Journal Cards: If you land on a Travel Journal space, draw the top card from the Travel Journal deck, read it aloud, and follow its instructions. If the card has an empty circle, stamp it with your token. These stamps remain on the card permanently and can affect future games by awarding extra money.
- Flight Spaces (Local Flight / Long-Distance Flight): These spaces allow you to pay a fee (M100 for Local, M200 for Long-Distance) to travel to any Destination space on the board. If you pass GO using a flight space, you do not collect M200 salary.
- Travel Insurance / Travel Guide Fee: If you land on these spaces, you must pay the indicated fee to the bank.
- GO: When you pass or land on the GO space, collect M200 salary from the bank.
- Just Visiting / In Jail: If you land on Just Visiting, you are simply visiting. If you land on Go to Jail, move your token directly to the In Jail space. You do not collect M200 for passing GO.
- Free Parking: If you land on Free Parking, you may collect the Golden Travel Ticket (if available). This ticket allows you to move to any Destination space once per game.
- Using Token Stampers: Each token has a self-inking stamp. To use it, simply press the token firmly onto the designated circle on the gameboard or Travel Journal card.

5. Maintenance
To ensure the longevity of your game and maintain the dry-erase gameboard, follow these simple maintenance steps:
- Cleaning the Gameboard: After each game, use a soft, dry cloth or paper towel to gently wipe off any ink marks from the dry-erase gameboard. Do not use abrasive cleaners or harsh chemicals, as these may damage the board surface.
- Storing Components: Store all game components, including cards, money, dice, and tokens, in their designated compartments within the game box to prevent loss or damage.
- Token Stampers: Ensure the caps are securely placed on the token stampers when not in use to prevent the ink from drying out.
