Maintenance

Cleaning the Water Reservoir

The 40oz water reservoir is removable and dishwasher safe. For regular cleaning, remove it from the machine and wash it with warm, soapy water or place it in the dishwasher. This helps prevent mineral buildup and ensures fresh-tasting coffee.

Cleaning the Drip Tray

The drip tray is also removable and dishwasher safe. It collects any drips or spills during brewing. Regularly remove and clean it to maintain hygiene and prevent overflow.

Descaling

Over time, mineral deposits can build up inside the coffee maker, affecting performance. Descale the machine periodically using a descaling solution or a mixture of white vinegar and water. Follow the descaling instructions provided in the full product manual or on the manufacturer's website.

Troubleshooting

  • No Coffee Dispensed: Ensure the water reservoir is filled above the minimum line and the brew chamber handle is fully closed. Check if the coffee pod is correctly inserted.
  • Weak Coffee: Try using the 'Bold' brew setting or ensure the reusable pod is filled adequately with ground coffee.
  • Coffee Grounds in Cup: Ensure the K-Cup pod is not damaged or that the reusable pod is properly assembled and not overfilled. Clean the brew needle if necessary.
  • Machine Not Turning On: Verify the power cord is securely plugged into a working outlet.
  • Slow Brewing: This may indicate mineral buildup. Perform a descaling cycle as described in the maintenance section.
