4. Setup Guide

4.1. Battery Installation (Smart Measuring Tape)

1. Locate the battery cover on the back of the smart measuring tape.
2. Insert a coin into the battery cover slot and turn it counter-clockwise to open.
3. Insert the battery, ensuring the positive pole is facing up.
4. Replace the battery cover and turn clockwise to secure.

4.2. App Installation and Device Pairing

1. Download the "Slimpal" app from the iOS App Store or Google Play Store.
2. Ensure Bluetooth is enabled on your smartphone.
3. Open the Slimpal app and follow the on-screen instructions to create your profile.
4. The app will guide you through pairing both the smart scale and the smart measuring tape via Bluetooth. Do not attempt to pair the devices directly through your phone's Bluetooth settings.
5. For the smart scale, step onto it to activate and initiate pairing.
6. For the smart measuring tape, press the power button to turn it on and initiate pairing within the app.

5. Operating Instructions

5.1. Using the Slimpal Smart Scale

1. Place the scale on a hard, flat surface. Avoid carpets or uneven floors for accurate readings.
2. Ensure your feet are clean and dry.
3. Step onto the scale barefoot. Stand still until your weight and body fat percentage are displayed.
4. The scale's VA display will show your body fat percentage and range directly, without needing to open the app every time.
5. The scale will automatically sync 13 body composition metrics to the Slimpal app via Bluetooth.

5.2. Using the Slimpal Smart Measuring Tape

1. Press the power button to turn on the tape measure.
2. Pull out the tape to the desired length. The digital display will show the measurement.
3. Wrap the tape around the body part you wish to measure (e.g., waist, chest, biceps, thigh). Use the hook mechanism to secure the tape for consistent measurements.
4. Short press the "M" button to select the body part in the app and save the data.
5. Changing Units: Long press the "M" button for 2 seconds to switch between inches (in) and centimeters (cm).
6. Reset and Clear: Press the Power and "M" buttons simultaneously to reset the measurement to 0.0.

  • Try resetting the tape measure by simultaneously pressing the Power and "M" buttons.
  • If the issue persists, remove and reinsert the battery.
