Introduction

The XSONIC Airstep YT Edition is a wireless foot controller specifically designed to enhance the functionality of your Yamaha THR10II and THR30II desktop amplifiers. This device provides direct, wireless control over your amplifier's presets and effects, offering a seamless experience for both home practice and live performances. With its robust design and long-lasting battery, the Airstep YT Edition integrates effortlessly into your musical setup.

Key Features

Setup

1. Unboxing and Initial Inspection

Carefully remove the XSONIC Airstep YT Edition from its packaging. Verify that all components are present, including the foot controller and any included charging cables. Inspect the device for any visible damage.

2. Charging the Device

The Airstep YT Edition features a built-in rechargeable lithium-ion battery. To charge, connect the provided USB cable to the device's USB-C port and to a suitable USB power source (e.g., a computer USB port, a USB wall adapter, or a standard 9V guitar pedal power supply). A full charge provides approximately 300 hours of continuous operation.

3. Connecting to Your Yamaha THR-II Amplifier

The Airstep YT Edition is designed for direct wireless connection to your THR-II amplifier. Follow these steps:

  1. Ensure your Yamaha THR-II amplifier is powered on.
  2. Power on the XSONIC Airstep YT Edition foot controller.
  3. The foot controller should automatically connect to your THR-II amplifier. If it does not connect immediately, you may need to press the function button on the Airstep YT Edition to initiate pairing.
  4. Important Note: For direct wireless control, ensure that the THR Remote App is not open or actively connected to your amplifier on any device. If the app is connected, the Airstep YT Edition may not function correctly.

4. Connecting to Other Spark Amplifiers (Requires App)

If you are using the Airstep YT Edition with other Spark amplifier models (e.g., Spark Go, Spark 40), you will typically need to use the corresponding Spark app for connectivity and control. Refer to the Spark app's instructions for pairing the foot controller.

Operating Modes

The Airstep YT Edition offers three primary control modes to manage your THR-II amplifier's settings:

1. Change Slots Mode

In this mode, each of the five footswitches corresponds to a specific preset slot on your THR-II amplifier. Pressing a footswitch will instantly recall the associated preset.
