3. Setup Instructions
3.1 Extending and Adjusting Tripod Legs
- Unfold the tripod legs from their collapsed position.
- To extend a leg section, twist the leg lock counter-clockwise to loosen, pull the leg section out to the desired length, then twist clockwise to secure. Repeat for all sections and legs.
- The legs can be adjusted to three angles: 8°, 36°, and 66°. Press the angle adjustment tab at the top of each leg and move the leg to the desired angle until it clicks into place.

3.2 Attaching the Ball Head (N44)
The N44 ball head is typically pre-attached. If it needs to be re-attached or replaced:
- Ensure the tripod's mounting screw (usually 3/8" or 1/4" with adapter) is clean.
- Align the ball head's base with the tripod's mounting platform.
- Screw the ball head onto the tripod clockwise until it is firmly secured. Do not overtighten.
3.3 Changing or Inverting the Center Column
The tripod features a removable center column that can be replaced with a shorter one for low-angle shooting or inverted for macro photography.
To Change to Short Center Column:
- Loosen the center column lock knob.
- Press the bottom button on the center column and pull the column upwards to remove it.
- Install the short center column by inserting it into the tripod's main body and tightening the lock knob.
To Invert the Center Column:
- Loosen the center column lock knob.
- Press the bottom button on the center column and pull the column upwards to remove it.
- Reverse the column and insert it back into the tripod's main body from the bottom.
- Tighten the lock knob to secure the inverted column.

4. Operating Instructions
4.1 Mounting Your Camera
- Ensure the quick release plate is securely attached to your camera's tripod socket.
- Loosen the quick release plate clamp on the N44 ball head.
- Slide the quick release plate with your camera into the clamp.
- Tighten the clamp securely to prevent accidental camera detachment.
4.2 Using the N44 Low Profile Ball Head
The N44 ball head offers precise control over camera positioning.

Image: Close-up of the N44 ball head, illustrating its 44mm ball diameter, double U-notch for tilting, anti-lost knobs, and lightweight design. It also shows a comparison of its low gravity center with a normal ball head.
- Main Locking Knob: Loosen to adjust the ball's position for tilting and panning. Tighten to lock the camera in place.
- Panning Base Knob: Loosen to rotate the camera horizontally (panning) without affecting the ball's tilt. Tighten to lock the panning movement.
- Friction Control Knob: Adjusts the tension of the ball movement. This allows for smoother adjustments and prevents the camera from dropping suddenly when the main locking knob is loosened.
- Double U Notch: Allows for extreme tilting angles, including vertical shots.
4.3 Macro Shooting
For macro photography, utilize the short center column or invert the main center column as described in Section 3.3. This allows the camera to be positioned very close to the ground or even below the tripod's base for unique perspectives.
5. Maintenance
- Cleaning: Wipe down the carbon fiber legs and aluminum parts with a soft, damp cloth after use, especially if exposed to dirt, sand, or saltwater. Avoid harsh chemicals.
- Leg Locks: Periodically check leg locks for smooth operation. If they become stiff, clean any debris and apply a small amount of silicone-based lubricant if necessary.
- Ball Head: Keep the ball head clean and free of dust. If the panning base or ball movement becomes stiff, a small amount of synthetic lubricant can be applied to the friction surfaces, as noted by user experience.
- Storage: Store the tripod in its protective bag in a dry, cool place to prevent damage and prolong its lifespan.
- Screws and Joints: Occasionally check all screws and joints for tightness. Use the provided Allen keys to tighten any loose components.
6. Troubleshooting
- Tripod Instability:
- Ensure all leg sections are fully extended and their locks are securely tightened.
- Verify that the leg angles are properly engaged.
- Check that the ball head is firmly attached to the tripod and the camera is securely mounted to the quick release plate.
- Ensure the ground surface is stable. For uneven terrain, adjust leg lengths individually.
- Stiff Leg Locks or Ball Head:
- Clean any visible dirt or debris from the mechanisms.
- Apply a small amount of appropriate lubricant (e.g., silicone grease for leg locks, synthetic lubricant for ball head friction surfaces) if cleaning does not resolve the issue.
- Missing Accessories:
- Check all compartments of the tripod bag, including any side pockets, as smaller items like Allen keys or spikes may be stored there.
- Refer to the "Package Contents" section (Section 2) to confirm all items.
