BRESSER 7803210
Bresser 7-in-1 Multi-Radio Sensor Instruction Manual
For 4CAST PRO Weather Stations (Models 7003210, 7003220, 7003230)
1. Introduction
Thank you for choosing the Bresser 7-in-1 Multi-Radio Sensor. This sensor is designed as a replacement outdoor unit for your Bresser 4CAST PRO weather station, ensuring continuous and accurate measurement of various environmental parameters. This manual provides essential information for the correct installation, operation, and maintenance of your sensor. Please read it thoroughly before use.
2. Safety Information
- Keep this manual for future reference.
- Do not expose the sensor to extreme temperatures, direct sunlight for prolonged periods (beyond normal operation), or excessive moisture.
- Do not attempt to disassemble or modify the sensor. This will void the warranty.
- Ensure all components are securely fastened during installation to prevent damage from wind or other environmental factors.
- Use only specified batteries (4 x AA, not included) and ensure correct polarity.
- Keep packaging materials away from children.
3. Package Contents
Please check the package contents to ensure all items are present:
- Bresser 7-in-1 Multi-Radio Sensor (Outdoor Unit)
- Mounting hardware
- Instruction Manual
Note: The base station for your weather center is not included with this replacement sensor.
4. Product Overview
The Bresser 7-in-1 Multi-Radio Sensor integrates several measurement functions into a single compact unit. It measures outdoor temperature, humidity, wind speed, wind direction, precipitation, UV level, and light intensity.

Figure 4.1: Front view of the Bresser 7-in-1 Multi-Radio Sensor. This image shows the complete sensor unit, including the solar panel, wind cups, wind vane, rain collector, and temperature/humidity shield.

Figure 4.2: Side view of the Bresser 7-in-1 Multi-Radio Sensor, highlighting the mounting bracket and the solar panel's position. The wind vane and anemometer cups are visible at the top, with the rain gauge funnel and temperature/humidity sensor below.
5. Setup
5.1. Component Assembly
- Install Wind Vane: Carefully attach the wind vane to its designated slot on the sensor unit. Ensure it can rotate freely.
- Install Rain Gauge Funnel: Place the rain gauge funnel onto the rain collector section of the sensor.
5.2. Battery Installation
The sensor requires 4 AA batteries (not included) for operation. The solar panel provides supplementary power and charges a rechargeable battery (if present in your model), but initial power-up and continuous operation in low light conditions rely on the AA batteries.
- Locate the battery compartment on the sensor unit.
- Open the compartment cover.
- Insert 4 AA batteries, observing the correct polarity (+/-) as indicated inside the compartment.
- Close the battery compartment cover securely to ensure water resistance.
5.3. Solar Panel Orientation
Proper orientation of the solar panel is crucial for optimal performance and battery charging. The solar panel should face south (in the Northern Hemisphere) or north (in the Southern Hemisphere) to receive maximum sunlight throughout the day. This ensures sufficient power for reliable weather measurements year-round.
5.4. Mounting the Sensor
Mount the sensor in an open area, away from obstructions like buildings, trees, or other structures that could interfere with wind flow, rain collection, or sunlight exposure. Use the provided mounting hardware to secure the sensor to a pole or suitable surface. Ensure the sensor is level for accurate rain measurement.
6. Operating Instructions
6.1. Connecting to the Base Station
After installing the sensor, you need to connect it to your Bresser 4CAST PRO weather station base unit. This process is typically initiated from the base station:
- Ensure your base station is powered on and within range of the outdoor sensor (up to 150m, 868 MHz frequency).
- On your base station, press the designated SENSOR / WI-FI button to restart the synchronization mode. Refer to your base station's manual for specific instructions.
- The base station will search for the new outdoor sensor. Once a connection is established, the outdoor measurement data will appear on your base station's display.
6.2. Data Displayed
Once connected, your base station will display the following local measurement data from the 7-in-1 sensor:
- Outdoor Temperature
- Air Humidity
- Wind Speed
- Wind Direction
- Precipitation
- UV Level
- Light Intensity
7. Maintenance
7.1. Cleaning
- Periodically clean the rain gauge funnel to remove leaves, debris, or insects that could obstruct water flow.
- Wipe the solar panel with a soft, damp cloth to ensure maximum light absorption.
- Ensure the wind cups and wind vane rotate freely and are not obstructed.
7.2. Battery Replacement
When the base station indicates low battery for the outdoor sensor, replace the 4 AA batteries. Follow the battery installation steps in Section 5.2.
8. Troubleshooting
- No data on base station: Ensure the sensor batteries are fresh and correctly installed. Check that the sensor is within range of the base station. Re-initiate the synchronization process on the base station (refer to Section 6.1).
- Inaccurate temperature/humidity: Ensure the sensor is mounted in an open area, away from direct heat sources or reflective surfaces.
- Inaccurate wind readings: Check for obstructions around the wind cups and wind vane. Ensure they rotate freely.
- Inaccurate rain readings: Clean the rain gauge funnel to remove any debris. Ensure the sensor is mounted level.
- Solar panel not charging: Verify the solar panel is oriented correctly towards the sun and is free of dirt or obstructions.
If problems persist, please contact Bresser customer support.
