Product Overview

The Radwag WPT 60H3 is a robust waterproof platform scale designed for use in humid environments and direct contact with water. It features a durable stainless steel construction and an LCD display for clear readings.

  • Waterproof Design: Engineered to operate reliably in wet conditions.
  • Durable Construction: All structural elements, including the weighing platform, are made from OH18N9 stainless steel.
  • Clear Display: Equipped with a backlit LCD indicator (PUE C/31H series) for easy readability.
  • Flexible Installation: The indicator can be pillar-mounted or optionally installed on a wall using a cable.
  • Power Options: Operates on mains power (100-240V AC) and includes a battery for portable use.
  • Connectivity: Features an RS232 communication interface as standard.

Setup Instructions

  1. Unpacking: Carefully remove all components from the packaging. Inspect for any signs of damage during transit. Retain packaging for future transport or storage.
  2. Assembly:
    • Attach the pillar to the platform base if not already assembled. Ensure it is securely fastened.
    • Mount the PUE C/31H indicator onto the pillar. If wall-mounting is preferred, use the provided cable and appropriate wall-mounting hardware (not included) to secure the indicator.
  3. Placement: Place the scale on a stable, level surface, free from vibrations, drafts, and direct sunlight. Ensure adequate space around the scale for operation and maintenance.
  4. Power Connection: Connect the scale to a suitable mains power outlet (100-240 V AC, 50/60 Hz) using the provided power cable. The internal battery will charge automatically. The scale can also operate on battery power for approximately 45 hours on average.
  5. Initial Power On: Press the power button on the indicator. Allow the scale a few minutes to warm up and stabilize before use.

Operating Instructions

  1. Power On/Off: Press the ON/OFF button to turn the scale on or off.
  2. Zeroing the Scale: Before placing any item on the weighing pan, ensure the display reads "0.000 kg" (or appropriate unit). If not, press the ZERO button to reset the display to zero.
  3. Weighing an Item:
    • Place the item gently in the center of the stainless steel weighing pan.
    • Wait for the reading to stabilize. The weight will be displayed on the LCD.
    • Remove the item from the pan.
  4. Tare Function: To weigh an item in a container:
    • Place the empty container on the weighing pan.
    • Press the TARE button. The display will reset to "0.000 kg", effectively subtracting the container's weight.
    • Add the item to be weighed into the container. The display will show only the net weight of the item.
    • To clear the tare value, remove the container and item, then press TARE again.
  5. Unit Conversion: If your scale supports multiple units, refer to the indicator's specific button layout for unit conversion (e.g., kg to lb). This model primarily uses kilograms.

Maintenance

  • Cleaning:
    • Due to its IP67/68/69 protection class and stainless steel construction, the scale can be cleaned with water and mild detergents.
    • Do not use abrasive cleaners or solvents that could damage the display or surfaces.
    • Ensure the scale is disconnected from mains power before thorough cleaning.
    • Wipe dry with a soft cloth after cleaning.
  • Battery Care:
    • To maximize battery life, fully charge the battery periodically, especially if the scale is not used for extended periods.
    • Avoid completely draining the battery frequently.
  • Calibration: Regular calibration is recommended to maintain accuracy. Refer to the specific calibration procedure for the PUE C/31H indicator, which may require specialized weights and technical knowledge. Contact Radwag support or an authorized service provider for calibration services.
  • Storage: When not in use for long periods, store the scale in a dry, clean environment within the specified operating temperature range (-10 °C to +40 °C).

Troubleshooting

  • Scale does not power on:
    • Check if the power cable is securely connected to both the scale and the mains outlet.
    • Ensure the mains outlet is functional.
    • If operating on battery, ensure the battery is charged. Connect to mains power and allow time for charging.
  • Inaccurate readings:
    • Ensure the scale is placed on a stable, level surface.
    • Check for any obstructions under or around the weighing pan.
    • Verify that the scale has been zeroed before weighing.
    • Avoid placing items off-center on the pan.
    • Environmental factors like strong air currents or vibrations can affect accuracy.
    • Consider if calibration is required.
  • Display shows error message:
    • Consult the specific error codes in the PUE C/31H indicator's user manual (if available separately).
    • Try powering the scale off and on again.
    • If the error persists, contact customer support.
