- Power Off: Press and hold the ⏻/M button again for a few seconds to turn off the device. The device will automatically shut off after 1 minute of inactivity.
TENS Therapy (Transcutaneous Electrical Nerve Stimulation)
TENS therapy is primarily used for temporary pain relief. It works by sending small electrical impulses through electrodes placed on the skin, which can help block pain signals to the brain and stimulate endorphin production.

Figure 5: Example of electrode placement for TENS therapy on the knee for pain relief.
Common Applications: Neck pain, shoulder pain, back pain, joint pain, hip pain, hand pain, abdominal pain, foot pain, upper and lower limb pain due to tension from exercise, work, or domestic tasks.
EMS Therapy (Electrical Muscle Stimulation)
EMS therapy is used for muscle strengthening, toning, and rehabilitation. It works by causing muscles to contract, similar to how they would during physical exercise.

Common Applications: Muscle rehabilitation, muscle strengthening, muscle toning, improving muscle performance.
Maintenance and Care
- Cleaning the Device: Wipe the device with a soft, damp cloth. Do not use abrasive cleaners or immerse the device in water.
- Electrode Care: After each use, reattach the electrodes to their protective film to preserve their adhesive properties. Store them in a cool, dry place. Replace electrodes when they lose their stickiness.
- Battery Care: Recharge the device regularly, even if not in frequent use, to maintain battery health. Avoid extreme temperatures.
- Storage: Store the device and accessories in their original packaging or a protective case in a cool, dry place, away from direct sunlight and moisture.
Troubleshooting
| Problem | Possible Cause | Solution |
|---|---|---|
| Device does not turn on. | Low battery; Device not charged. | Charge the device fully. Ensure the power button is pressed and held long enough. |
| No sensation or weak sensation. | Electrodes not properly applied; Intensity too low; Electrodes worn out; Cable disconnected. | Ensure electrodes are firmly attached to clean skin. Increase intensity gradually. Replace old electrodes. Check cable connections. |
| Irritation or discomfort at electrode site. | Poor electrode adhesion; Skin sensitivity; Electrodes placed incorrectly. | Clean skin thoroughly before application. Try repositioning electrodes. Reduce intensity. Discontinue use if irritation persists and consult a physician. |
