2. Setup Guide

2.1 Unboxing and Initial Charge

Upon unboxing, you will find the GRV Smart Watch, a charging cable, and this user manual. Before first use, fully charge your smartwatch.

• Connect the magnetic charging cable to the charging point on the back of the watch.
• Plug the USB end of the cable into a standard USB power adapter (not included) or a computer USB port.
• A full charge typically takes approximately 2 hours.

2.2 App Installation and Pairing

To unlock the full potential of your GRV Smart Watch, download and install the companion application on your smartphone.

1. Scan the QR code provided in the watch's settings or search for the "InksFit" app in your phone's app store (compatible with iOS 8.0+ and Android 4.4+).
2. Open the "InksFit" app and follow the on-screen instructions to create an account and set up your profile.
3. Enable Bluetooth on your smartphone.
4. Within the "InksFit" app, navigate to the device pairing section and select your GRV Smart Watch from the list of available devices.
5. Confirm the pairing request on both your phone and the watch.

3. Operating Instructions

3.1 Basic Navigation

The GRV Smart Watch features a responsive 1.83-inch HD touchscreen for intuitive navigation.

• Swipe Up: View recent notifications.
• Swipe Left: Access daily activity data (steps, distance, calories, heart rate, sleep, exercise records).
• Swipe Right: Open the main menu with various functions (Exercise, Heart Rate, SpO2, Relax, Timer, Alarm, Stopwatch, Sleep, Music Control, Settings).
• Swipe Down: Access quick settings (Do Not Disturb, Raise to Wake, Brightness, Settings).
• Side Button: Press to return to the home screen or wake the display.

3.2 Communication Features

Stay connected directly from your wrist.

• Answer/Make Calls: Once paired via Bluetooth, you can answer incoming calls or dial out directly from the watch.
• Message & App Notifications: Receive notifications from various apps including Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, and WhatsApp. The watch will vibrate to alert you of new messages.

4. Maintenance

4.1 Cleaning Your Smart Watch

• Wipe the screen and strap with a soft, damp cloth.
• Avoid using harsh chemicals or abrasive materials.
• Ensure the charging contacts are clean and dry before charging.

4.2 Water Resistance

The GRV Smart Watch has an IP68 waterproof rating. This means it is resistant to dust and can withstand immersion in water up to 1.5 meters for up to 30 minutes. It is suitable for daily use like washing hands or sweating during exercise. However, it is not recommended for hot water, diving, or prolonged submersion.

4.3 Battery Care

To maximize battery life:

• Avoid extreme temperatures.
• Charge the watch fully before long periods of inactivity.
• Battery life is up to 7 days with normal use, 15 days on standby.

• Watch not turning on: Ensure the watch is fully charged.
• Cannot pair with phone: Make sure Bluetooth is enabled on your phone and the watch is within range. Restart both devices and try pairing again. Check if the correct app ("InksFit") is installed.
• Inaccurate health data: Ensure the watch is worn snugly on your wrist, not too tight or too loose. Clean the sensors on the back of the watch.
• Notifications not received: Check app permissions on your phone to ensure "InksFit" has access to notifications. Verify notification settings within the app and on the watch (e.g., Do Not Disturb mode is off).
• Short battery life: Reduce screen brightness, turn off "Raise to Wake" if not needed, and limit background app refresh for the "InksFit" app.
