Introduction
This manual provides instructions for the HCDZ Replacement Remote Control, designed for use with various Aiwa Compact Disc CD Stereo Audio Systems. This remote is an infrared (IR) replacement and requires no programming.
Setup
1. Battery Installation
The remote control requires two (2) AA batteries (not included). Follow these steps to install them:
- Locate the battery compartment on the back of the remote control.
- Slide the battery compartment cover downwards or outwards to open it.
- Insert two new AA batteries, ensuring the positive (+) and negative (-) terminals match the diagrams inside the compartment.
- Replace the battery compartment cover, sliding it back into place until it clicks securely.

Important Battery Information:
- Do not mix new batteries with old batteries.
- If the remote control will not be used for an extended period, remove the batteries to prevent leakage and corrosion.
2. Initial Use
Once batteries are installed, the remote control is ready for use. No programming or pairing is required. It will function immediately with compatible Aiwa stereo systems.
Operating Instructions
Point the remote control directly towards the infrared sensor on your Aiwa stereo system. Ensure there are no obstructions between the remote and the stereo system.
