5. Installation Guide

Follow these steps to properly install your automatic chicken coop door:

  1. Choose Location: Select a flat, vertical surface on your chicken coop for mounting. Ensure there is enough space for the door to open and close freely.
  2. Mark Drilling Points: Hold the door unit against the desired installation spot. Use a pencil to mark the positions for the mounting screws.
  3. Drill Pilot Holes: Drill pilot holes at the marked positions. If mounting into wood, ensure the drill bit is slightly smaller than the screw diameter. If mounting into other materials, use appropriate anchors.
  4. Mount the Door Unit: Secure the door unit to the coop using the provided screws. Ensure it is level and firmly attached.
  5. Connect Power: Connect the DC 12V 3A adaptor to the door unit and plug it into a suitable power outlet. Alternatively, install 8x AA batteries (not included) into the power box and connect it for backup power.
  6. Test Operation: After installation, perform a test run using the 'Test' button or remote control to ensure the door opens and closes smoothly.
