Setup
1. Charging the Batteries
The drone comes with two modular Lithium Ion batteries. Ensure both batteries are fully charged before first use. Connect the provided USB charging cable to the battery and a suitable USB power source (e.g., computer USB port, USB wall adapter). The charging indicator light on the battery will show its status (refer to battery specific instructions for light indications). A full charge provides approximately 15 minutes of flight time per battery, totaling up to 30 minutes with both.

2. Installing Batteries and Propeller Guards
Insert a fully charged modular battery into the drone's battery compartment until it clicks securely into place. For enhanced safety, especially for beginners, attach the propeller guards to each arm of the drone. Ensure they are firmly clipped to prevent detachment during flight.
3. Remote Control Setup
Install 3 AA batteries (not included) into the remote control. Power on the remote control. Place your smartphone into the phone holder on the remote control for FPV viewing and advanced app controls.
4. App Installation and Connection
Download the official DRONEEYE app from your smartphone's app store (iOS or Android). Turn on the drone and the remote control. Connect your smartphone to the drone's Wi-Fi network (usually named "DRONEEYE-XXXX"). Open the app to establish a connection and access live video feed and smart flight features.
Operating Instructions
1. Pre-Flight Checklist
- Ensure drone and remote control batteries are fully charged.
- Check that propellers are securely attached and undamaged.
- Verify propeller guards are installed (recommended for beginners).
- Ensure the drone is placed on a flat, level surface for take-off.
- Check for clear flying space, free from obstacles, people, and animals.
- Confirm smartphone is connected to the drone's Wi-Fi and the app is open.
2. Take-off and Landing
One-Key Take-off: After calibration, press the One-Key Take-off button on the remote control or within the app. The drone will automatically ascend to a stable hovering altitude.
One-Key Landing: Press the One-Key Landing button. The drone will automatically descend and land gently.

3. Flight Modes and Controls
- Altitude Hold: The drone maintains a consistent altitude, allowing for stable hovering and easier control, especially for photography and videography.
- Headless Mode: Eliminates the need to adjust the drone's position before flight. The drone's forward direction is relative to the pilot's orientation, simplifying control.
- 3 Speed Modes: Adjust the drone's speed (low, medium, high) to suit your skill level and flying environment. Start with low speed for beginners.
- Gravity Sensor Control: Control the drone's flight direction by tilting your smartphone, available through the app.

4. Advanced Flight Features
- Gesture Control: Pose specific hand gestures to the drone's camera to trigger photo or video recording. Refer to the app for specific gesture commands.
- Trajectory Flight (Waypoints): Draw a desired flight path on your smartphone screen within the app, and the drone will automatically follow the specified route.
- 3D Flips: Press the 3D Flip button on the remote control, then move the right joystick in any direction to perform an exciting 360-degree flip.
- One Key Return: In Headless Mode, press the One Key Return button, and the drone will automatically fly back towards the take-off point.

Maintenance
1. Cleaning
Regularly clean the drone body, propellers, and camera lens with a soft, dry cloth. Avoid using harsh chemicals or solvents. Ensure no dust or debris accumulates in the motor areas.
2. Battery Care
- Always use the provided charging cable.
- Do not overcharge or over-discharge the batteries.
- Store batteries in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight and extreme temperatures.
- If not used for extended periods, charge batteries to about 50% capacity for storage.
3. Propeller Replacement
If propellers become damaged or bent, replace them immediately using the spare propellers provided. Use the included screwdriver to carefully remove the old propellers and install new ones, ensuring they are oriented correctly (A and B propellers must match their respective motor arms).
Troubleshooting
| Problem | Possible Cause | Solution |
|---|---|---|
| Drone does not respond to remote control. | Low battery on drone or remote; not paired correctly; interference. | Charge batteries; re-pair drone and remote (power cycle both); move to an area with less interference. |
| Drone drifts or is unstable during flight. | Improper calibration; damaged propellers; strong wind. | Perform gyroscope calibration (refer to app/remote instructions); replace damaged propellers; avoid flying in windy conditions. |
| No FPV video feed or poor quality. | Wi-Fi not connected; app not open; camera lens obstructed. | Ensure smartphone is connected to drone's Wi-Fi; open the app; clean camera lens; ensure drone is within Wi-Fi range. |
| Short flight time. | Batteries not fully charged; old or damaged batteries. | Ensure batteries are fully charged before each flight; consider replacing old batteries if performance degrades significantly. |
