  • Household Use Only: This appliance is designed for household use only. Do not use it for anything other than its intended purpose.
  • Electrical Safety: Ensure the appliance is plugged into a properly grounded outlet. Do not immerse the appliance, power cord, or plug in water or any other liquid.
  • Hot Surfaces: The hot plate and surrounding metal surfaces become extremely hot during and after use. DO NOT TOUCH HOT SURFACES. Use oven mitts or pot holders. Allow the unit to cool completely before handling or cleaning.
  • Overheat Protection: The hot plate features an automatic safety shut-off function with a thermostat. If the temperature becomes too high, the unit will automatically power off. This is a normal safety feature.
  • First Use Smoking: It is normal and safe for the new burners to emit smoke during the first use. This is due to a protective coating on the heating elements and internal accessories evaporating. To condition the coating, turn the appliance to the highest setting for 3-5 minutes without any cookware. Perform this procedure in a well-ventilated area.

3. Setup

  1. Unpack: Carefully remove the hot plate from its packaging. Retain packaging for storage if desired.
  2. Placement: Place the hot plate on a stable, flat, heat-resistant surface. Ensure there is adequate space around the unit for ventilation.
  3. First Use Conditioning (Important): Before first use, plug in the appliance and turn both temperature control knobs to the highest setting (MAX) for 3-5 minutes without any cookware. This process burns off the protective coating and may produce some smoke or odor. Ensure this is done in a well-ventilated area. After this initial conditioning, the appliance is ready for normal use.

4. Operating Instructions

  4. Adjust Temperature: Adjust the knob to select one of the 7 heat settings or 'MAX' for higher temperatures.
  5. Cooking: Begin cooking your food. The cast iron plates provide even and consistent heat distribution.
  6. Turn Off: Once cooking is complete, turn the temperature control knob back to the 'OFF' position. The indicator light will turn off.
  7. Cool Down: Allow the hot plate to cool completely before moving or cleaning. This can take approximately 20 minutes.

5. Maintenance and Cleaning
