Setup Instructions
Before initial use, ensure the generator is properly set up according to these steps:
- Unpack and Inspect: Carefully remove all components from the packaging. Inspect for any damage during transit.
- Add Engine Oil: The generator is shipped without engine oil. Add the provided 10W-30 oil to the engine crankcase. The oil capacity is 0.5 quarts. Use the included funnel for easy pouring.
- Position the Generator: Always operate the generator outdoors in a well-ventilated area, far away from occupied buildings. Ensure the exhaust is pointed away from people and structures.
- Connect Fuel Source: The generator supports both gasoline and propane.
- For Gasoline: Fill the 1.1-gallon fuel tank with unleaded gasoline. Ensure the fuel cap vent lever is in the 'ON' position.
- For Propane: Connect the provided propane (LPG) hose and regulator to a 20-pound propane tank and to the generator's propane inlet.

Included accessories such as the oil funnel and engine oil for initial setup.

Operating Instructions
The EZ Start Dial simplifies the starting process. Always ensure no electrical devices are plugged into the generator before starting or stopping.

- Starting the Engine:
- For Gasoline Operation: Turn the EZ Start Dial to the 'GASOLINE RUN' position. Pull the recoil cord to start the engine.
- For Propane Operation: Turn the EZ Start Dial to the 'CHOKE' position. Pull the recoil cord 3-5 times to prime the engine. Then, turn the EZ Start Dial to the 'PROPANE RUN' position and pull the recoil cord to start the engine.
- Connecting Electrical Loads: Once the engine is running smoothly, you can plug in your electrical devices. The generator provides clean power (<3% THD) suitable for sensitive electronics.
- CO Shield Technology: This generator is equipped with CO Shield technology, which monitors carbon monoxide (CO) levels. If unsafe elevated levels of CO gas are detected, the engine will automatically shut off. This is a safety feature and not a substitute for proper outdoor ventilation.
- Economy Mode: Activate Economy Mode to reduce engine speed, noise, and fuel consumption when electrical load is low.

Maintenance
Regular maintenance ensures optimal performance and longevity of your generator. Always refer to the full user manual for detailed maintenance schedules and procedures.
- Oil Changes: Change the engine oil after the first 5 hours of operation, and then every 50 hours or annually thereafter.
- Air Filter: Inspect and clean the air filter regularly, especially in dusty conditions.
- Spark Plug: Inspect and clean the spark plug as needed. Replace if worn.
- Fuel System: For gasoline, use a fuel stabilizer if storing for extended periods. For propane, ensure connections are secure and free of leaks.
Troubleshooting
If you encounter issues with your generator, consider the following common troubleshooting steps:
- Engine Not Starting: Check fuel level, oil level, and ensure the EZ Start Dial is in the correct position (Choke for priming, then Run). Verify the spark plug is clean and properly gapped.
- No Power Output: Check circuit breakers on the control panel. Ensure no electrical devices are overloaded.
- Engine Shuts Off: This could be due to low oil, an overloaded circuit, or activation of the CO Shield. Check oil level and reduce electrical load.
