Setup and Connection

The SIMOLIO wireless TV speakers offer versatile connectivity options to suit various TV models and audio sources. Only one connection type is needed at a time.

1. Choose Your Audio Output Method

Identify the available audio output ports on your TV or audio source. The speaker system supports Digital Optical, RCA, and 3.5mm AUX connections.

  • Digital Optical Audio Out (Recommended): Use the included optical cable. This port is common on modern smart TVs.

Important: If using the TV's optical audio out, you MUST set your TV's audio format to PCM. Refer to your TV's audio settings menu for this adjustment.

  • RCA Audio Out (Red and White Ports): Use the included RCA cable. These are typically found on older TVs or audio receivers.
  • 3.5mm AUX Audio Out (Headphone Jack): Use the included 3.5mm AUX cable. This is a common headphone port on TVs, PCs, and other devices.

2. Connect the Transmitter

Connect one end of the chosen audio cable to your TV's audio output port and the other end to the corresponding input port on the SIMOLIO transmitter base. Plug one of the included AC adapters into the transmitter base and then into a power outlet.

3. Power On the Speaker

Place the speaker unit onto the charging dock of the transmitter base, or power it directly using the second AC adapter. Turn the volume knob on the speaker clockwise to power it on and increase the volume. A green indicator light will illuminate when the speaker is on and receiving a signal.

Ensure your TV's volume is set to an audible level, as the speaker amplifies the TV's audio output.

Operating Instructions

Volume Control

The large knob on the front of the speaker controls both power and volume. Turn it clockwise to power on and increase volume, and counter-clockwise to decrease volume and power off.

Tone Adjustment

On the back of the speaker unit, there is a switch to adjust the tone: TREBLE, NORMAL, and BASS. Select the setting that best suits your hearing preference for clear dialogue.

Using the Included Headset

For private listening, plug the anti-dropping headset into the 3.5mm headphone jack located on the side of the speaker unit. When the headset is plugged in, the speaker's sound will mute, allowing for personal audio enjoyment without disturbing others.

Charging and Power Management

The portable speaker unit contains a rechargeable and replaceable 7.4V/1000mAh Li-Battery, providing approximately 6 hours of continuous operation on a single charge.

  • Charging on Dock: Simply place the speaker unit onto the transmitter base. The base acts as a charging dock.
  • Direct Charging: Use the second included AC adapter to charge the speaker directly, independent of the transmitter base.

It is recommended to remove the battery if the speaker will not be used for an extended period to prevent potential battery swelling.

Troubleshooting

If you encounter issues with your SIMOLIO wireless TV speakers, please refer to the following common solutions:

  • No Sound:
    • Ensure both the speaker and transmitter are powered on and their indicator lights are active.
    • Verify that the audio cable is securely connected to both the TV/audio source and the transmitter.
    • Check your TV's audio output settings. If using optical, ensure the TV's audio format is set to PCM.
    • Increase the volume on both the speaker and your TV/audio source.
    • If using the headset, ensure it is fully plugged in; unplug it to check if the speaker produces sound.
  • Static or Intermittent Sound:
    • Ensure the speaker is within the 100-foot operating range of the transmitter and there are no major obstructions.
    • Minimize interference from other 2.4GHz wireless devices (e.g., Wi-Fi routers, cordless phones).
    • Check the battery level of the speaker. A low battery can sometimes cause performance issues.
    • Try reseating the battery in the speaker unit.
  • Speaker Not Charging:
    • Ensure the power adapter is securely connected to both the charging dock/speaker and a working power outlet.
    • Verify that the speaker is correctly seated on the charging dock, making proper contact with the charging pins.
    • Try using the second AC adapter for direct charging to rule out an issue with the dock.
