MSI provides a Gaming OSD software application that allows you to adjust monitor settings directly from your desktop. Download and install the latest version from the official MSI website. Ensure the USB Type-B cable is connected between your PC and the monitor for this feature to function.
Maintenance
1. Cleaning the Screen
To clean the screen, gently wipe it with a soft, lint-free cloth. For stubborn marks, lightly dampen the cloth with water or a specialized screen cleaner. Do not use alcohol, ammonia, or abrasive cleaners as these can damage the screen surface.
2. Cleaning the Casing
Wipe the monitor casing with a soft, damp cloth. Avoid spraying liquids directly onto the monitor.
3. Storage
If storing the monitor for an extended period, disconnect all cables and pack it in its original packaging or a suitable protective container. Store in a cool, dry environment.
Troubleshooting
If you encounter issues with your monitor, refer to the following troubleshooting steps:
- No Power:
Ensure the power cable is securely connected to both the monitor and a working power outlet. Check if the power adapter's LED (if applicable) is illuminated. - No Signal/Blank Screen:
Verify that the video cable (DisplayPort, HDMI, or USB Type-C) is firmly connected to both the monitor and your computer/device. Use the OSD joystick to manually select the correct input source. Ensure your computer is powered on and not in sleep mode. - Screen Flickering:
This can sometimes be caused by a faulty or low-quality video cable. Try using a different, high-quality DisplayPort or HDMI cable. Ensure your graphics card drivers are up to date. Check for available monitor firmware updates on the MSI website. - Image is Blurry or Distorted:
Confirm that your computer's display settings are configured to the monitor's native resolution (3440 x 1440) and desired refresh rate (144Hz). Check the video cable for damage. - Colors Appear Incorrect:
Reset the monitor's color settings to factory defaults via the OSD. Disable or enable HDR mode to see if it resolves the issue. - KVM Functionality Not Working:
Ensure the USB Type-B upstream cable is connected from the monitor to your primary computer. Verify that all peripherals are connected to the monitor's USB Type-A downstream ports. Check KVM settings in the OSD. - OSD Not Responding:
Power cycle the monitor by unplugging it from the power source for a few seconds, then plugging it back in. - IPS Glow/Backlight Bleed:
IPS panels may exhibit some degree of 'IPS glow' or backlight bleed, especially visible on dark backgrounds in a dark room. This is a characteristic of IPS technology and can vary between individual units.
