Setup

1. Initial Time and Date Setting

Upon first use or after a battery replacement, you may need to set the current time and date. Refer to the watch's side buttons for navigation and setting modes. Typically, a 'MODE' or 'SET' button allows entry into the setting menu, and 'START/STOP' or 'LAP/RESET' buttons are used to adjust values.

2. Strap Adjustment

The adjustable black 20mm silicone strap is designed to fit wrist circumferences up to 8 inches. To adjust the strap, locate the buckle and slide the pin through the desired hole for a comfortable and secure fit. Ensure the watch is snug but not too tight to allow for proper circulation.

The 'INDIGLO' button (often located on the top left) activates the backlight for visibility in low-light conditions. Press and hold the 'INDIGLO' button for a few seconds to activate Night-Mode, which keeps the backlight on for a set duration.

2. Performance Pacer

The performance pacer feature helps you maintain a target pace during your workouts. Consult the watch's specific menu for setting your desired pace and receiving alerts if you deviate from it.

Maintenance

1. Water Resistance

Your Timex Ironman T300 is water resistant to 50 meters (165 feet). This rating generally means it is suitable for short periods of recreational swimming, but it is not recommended for diving or snorkeling. To maintain water resistance, avoid pressing any buttons while the watch is submerged.

2. Cleaning

Clean your watch regularly with a soft, damp cloth. For the silicone strap, mild soap and water can be used. Avoid harsh chemicals or abrasive materials that could damage the watch's finish or display.

3. Battery Replacement

The watch operates on a standard watch battery. When the display dims or functions become erratic, it may be time for a battery replacement. It is recommended to have the battery replaced by a qualified watch technician to ensure proper sealing and maintain water resistance.
