3.2 Battery Installation
The sensor requires 1 AA battery. Locate the battery compartment on the main unit, insert the battery according to the polarity indicators, and close the compartment securely.

- Download the Mi Home / Xiaomi Home app from your device's app store.
- Open the app and log in or create a new account.

4. Operating the Sensor
4.1 Monitoring Open/Closed Status
Once installed and paired, the sensor will automatically detect when the door or window it is attached to opens or closes. You can view the current status in real-time within the Mi Home / Xiaomi Home app.
4.2 Setting Up Smart Scenarios
The Mi Home / Xiaomi Home app allows you to create automated scenarios based on the sensor's status. Examples include:
- Receive a notification on your phone when a door opens.
- Turn on a smart light when a door opens at night.
- Activate an alarm if a window opens while you are away.
- Adjust air purifier settings based on window status.
4.3 Light Intensity Detection
