2. Safety Information

  • Do not expose the main unit or sensor to extreme temperatures, direct sunlight, or moisture.
  • Use only the specified battery types (AAA). Ensure correct polarity when inserting batteries.
  • Do not mix old and new batteries, or different types of batteries.
  • Remove batteries if the device will not be used for an extended period.
  • Keep the device and batteries out of reach of children.
  • Do not attempt to disassemble or repair the unit yourself. Contact support if needed.

3. Product Overview

Main Unit Display and Buttons:

The main unit features a large monochrome LCD touch screen display for easy reading of indoor and outdoor data, time, and weather forecasts. It includes four touch-sensitive buttons for various settings.

  • CH (Channel) Button: Used to switch between outdoor sensor channels (if multiple sensors are used) or to initiate manual search for sensors.
  • RCC/SET Button: Used to manually initiate WWVB atomic clock synchronization or to enter/confirm settings.
  • MEM (Memory) Button: Used to view maximum and minimum temperature/humidity records.
  • Alarm Icon Button: Used to activate/deactivate the alarm and enter alarm settings.

Wireless Outdoor Sensor:

The wireless sensor transmits outdoor temperature and humidity data to the main unit. It is designed for outdoor placement, away from direct sunlight and rain.

4. Setup

4.1 Battery Installation

  1. For the Main Unit: Open the battery compartment cover on the back. Insert 3 x AAA batteries, observing the correct polarity (+/-). Close the cover.
  2. For the Wireless Sensor: Open the battery compartment cover. Insert 2 x AAA batteries, observing the correct polarity (+/-). Close the cover.

The main unit will power on automatically and begin searching for the outdoor sensor.

4.2 Sensor Pairing

After inserting batteries into both units, the main unit will automatically attempt to connect with the sensor. The outdoor temperature and humidity should appear on the main unit's display within a few minutes. If the connection is not established:

  • Ensure both units are within range (up to 260ft/80m unobstructed).
  • Press the 'CH' button on the main unit to manually search for the sensor.
  • If using multiple sensors, press the 'CH' button on the main unit to cycle through channels (CH1, CH2, CH3).

4.3 Atomic Time Synchronization (WWVB)

The weather station is equipped with an atomic clock feature that automatically receives WWVB signals to set the time and date accurately. This process usually starts automatically after power-on.

  • Place the main unit near a window for better signal reception.
  • The atomic clock icon will flash during synchronization and become solid once successful.
  • To manually initiate synchronization, press and hold the 'RCC/SET' button.

5. Operating Instructions

5.1 Setting Time and Date

If atomic time synchronization is unavailable or you prefer manual setting:

  1. Press and hold the 'RCC/SET' button until the time display flashes.
  2. Use the 'CH' or 'MEM' buttons to adjust the value.
  3. Press 'RCC/SET' to confirm and move to the next setting (e.g., 12/24 hour format, hour, minute, year, month, day).
  4. Press 'RCC/SET' again to exit settings.

5.2 Alarm and Snooze Function

  1. To set the alarm: Press and hold the 'Alarm Icon' button until the alarm time flashes.
  2. Use 'CH' or 'MEM' to adjust the hour and minute. Press 'Alarm Icon' to confirm each setting.
  3. To activate/deactivate the alarm: Briefly press the 'Alarm Icon' button. The alarm icon will appear/disappear on the display.
  4. When the alarm sounds, press any button (except 'Alarm Icon') to activate snooze for 5 minutes. Press 'Alarm Icon' to turn off the alarm.

5.3 Temperature Unit Selection (°C/°F)

Briefly press the 'MEM' button to switch between Celsius (°C) and Fahrenheit (°F) temperature units.

5.4 Max/Min Temperature and Humidity Records

The station records the maximum and minimum indoor/outdoor temperature and humidity values over a 24-hour period.

  • Press the 'MEM' button once to display maximum values.
  • Press the 'MEM' button a second time to display minimum values.
  • Press 'MEM' again to return to current readings.
  • To clear records, press and hold the 'MEM' button while viewing max/min values.

5.5 Weather Forecast Interpretation

The weather station provides a 12-24 hour weather forecast based on atmospheric pressure changes. The forecast is indicated by various icons on the display.

  • Sunny: Clear skies expected.
  • Partly Cloudy: Mix of sun and clouds.
  • Cloudy: Overcast conditions.
  • Rainy: Precipitation expected.

5.6 Comfort Level Indicator

The indoor comfort level is displayed using a face icon, indicating whether the environment is Dry, Comfortable, or Wet based on indoor temperature and humidity.

  • Dry: Low humidity.
  • Comfortable: Optimal temperature and humidity.
  • Wet: High humidity.

5.7 Backlight Operation

The main unit features a white backlight for improved visibility in low-light conditions.

  • Briefly touch any button to activate the backlight.
  • The backlight will automatically turn off after 20 seconds to conserve battery power.

6. Maintenance

  • Cleaning: Wipe the unit and sensor with a soft, damp cloth. Do not use abrasive cleaners or solvents.
  • Battery Replacement: Replace batteries in both the main unit and sensor when the low battery indicator appears on the display. Ensure to replace all batteries at the same time for optimal performance.
  • Sensor Placement: For accurate outdoor readings, place the wireless sensor in a shaded area, protected from direct sunlight and precipitation. Ensure it is within the transmission range of the main unit.

7. Troubleshooting
