4. Setup (Pre-Installation)

Preparation Steps:
- Turn Off Power: Locate the circuit breaker that supplies power to the light fixture and turn it OFF. Ensure power is completely disconnected before proceeding.
- Remove Old Fixture: Carefully remove your existing light fixture. Disconnect all wiring and remove the old mounting plate.
- Prepare Fixture Body: The mounting screws for the glass shade are pre-installed on the fixture body. If necessary, adjust their length to ensure the glass shade can be securely attached later.
5. Installation
Follow these steps carefully to install your new Cargifak ceiling light.
- Install Mounting Plate: Secure the new mounting plate to your ceiling junction box using the provided screws. Ensure it is firmly attached.
- Connect Wiring:
- Connect the bare copper ground wire from the fixture to the green ground screw on the mounting plate, then connect it to the house ground wire using a wire nut.
- Connect the white (neutral) wire from the fixture to the white (neutral) wire from the junction box using a wire nut.
- Connect the black (live) wire from the fixture to the black (live) wire from the junction box using a wire nut.
- Ensure all connections are secure and insulated with electrical tape if necessary.
Proper wiring connections for safe installation. - Attach Fixture Body: Carefully push the wired fixture body up to the mounting plate, aligning the pre-installed screws with the holes in the mounting plate. Secure the fixture body using the decorative ball nuts.
- Install Light Bulbs: Screw the recommended E26 base bulbs (not included) into the sockets. Do not exceed the maximum wattage of 60W per bulb.
- Install Glass Shade and Metal Frame: Place the frosted glass shade onto the fixture body, aligning it with the pre-installed screws. Then, place the metal frame over the glass shade, aligning its holes with the screws. Secure both the glass shade and metal frame by tightening the decorative ball nuts.
6. Operation
Once installed, restore power at the circuit breaker. Your light fixture is now ready for use.
- Turning On/Off: Use your wall switch to turn the light fixture on or off.
- Dimming Function: If you have installed dimmable E26 bulbs and connected the fixture to a compatible dimmer switch (both not included), you can adjust the light intensity using the dimmer control.
7. Maintenance
Regular maintenance will ensure the longevity and optimal performance of your light fixture.
- Cleaning: Always turn off the power before cleaning. Wipe the fixture with a soft, dry cloth. Do not use harsh chemicals, abrasive cleaners, or polishes as they may damage the finish or glass.
- Bulb Replacement: Ensure power is off before replacing bulbs. Allow bulbs to cool completely before touching. Unscrew old bulbs and replace with new E26 base bulbs (Max 60W).
- Inspection: Periodically check all connections and mounting hardware for tightness.
