4.2 Hot Keys (Function Keys)
The keyboard features 13 easily accessible function keys (F1-F12, and others) that provide shortcuts for various multimedia and system controls. To activate these functions, press the FN key simultaneously with the desired function key.
- Example: Press FN + F1 to control music play/pause.
- Note: Some hotkeys may not be available or function differently on Mac operating systems.
4.3 Smart Power Saving Mode
To conserve battery life, both the keyboard and mouse will automatically enter a power-saving sleep mode after a few minutes of inactivity (typically 3-5 minutes). To wake them up, simply click any key on the keyboard or any button on the mouse. The devices will resume operation within seconds.
A low battery indicator light is located in the upper right corner of the keyboard. This light will illuminate when the battery level is low, signaling that battery replacement is needed.
5. Maintenance
- Cleaning: Use a soft, dry cloth to clean the surfaces of the keyboard and mouse. For stubborn dirt, a slightly damp cloth can be used, but ensure no liquid enters the device.
- Battery Replacement: When the low battery indicator on the keyboard lights up, or if the mouse becomes unresponsive, replace the AA batteries in both devices. Always use fresh, high-quality alkaline batteries.
- Storage: When not in use for extended periods, remove the batteries to prevent leakage and store the devices in a cool, dry place.
6. Troubleshooting
- No Response from Keyboard/Mouse:
- Ensure the USB receiver is securely plugged into a working USB port on your computer.
- Check the batteries in both the keyboard and mouse. Replace them if they are low or depleted.
- Wake the devices from power-saving mode by pressing any key or button.
- Try plugging the USB receiver into a different USB port.
- Intermittent Connection:
- Ensure the devices are within the 10-meter operating range of the USB receiver.
- Avoid placing the receiver near strong electromagnetic interference sources (e.g., other wireless devices, large metal objects).
- Keys Not Registering Properly:
- Check battery levels.
- Clean around the affected keycaps to ensure no debris is obstructing movement.
- Mouse Cursor Jumps or is Unresponsive:
- Check battery levels.
- Ensure the mouse sensor is clean and free of obstructions.
- Use the mouse on a suitable surface (not highly reflective or transparent).
