2. Setup Instructions
2.1 Unpacking
Carefully remove all components from the packaging. Inspect for any damage. Retain packaging for future transport or storage.
2.2 Speaker Placement
Optimal placement of the speakers is crucial for a true 5.1 surround sound experience. The subwoofer can be placed on the floor, preferably near a wall or corner for enhanced bass. The five satellite speakers should be positioned around the listening area:
- Front Left (FL) and Front Right (FR): Place these speakers on either side of your display, facing the listening area.
- Center (CEN): Position this speaker directly above or below your display, centered.
- Surround Left (SL) and Surround Right (SR): Place these speakers to the sides or slightly behind the main listening position, facing inwards.

2.3 Connecting Speakers to the Subwoofer
Connect each of the five satellite speakers to the corresponding output terminals on the rear panel of the subwoofer. Ensure correct polarity (red to red, black to black) for optimal sound quality.
2.4 Connecting Audio Sources
The system supports multiple audio input options:
- Bluetooth: For wireless connection to compatible devices like smartphones, tablets, and laptops.
- AUX Audio Input: Use the provided audio cable to connect devices with a 3.5mm or RCA output to the 'AUX' input on the subwoofer's rear panel.
- DVD Audio Input: Use the provided DVD connection cables to connect a DVD player or other compatible device to the 'DVD' input on the subwoofer's rear panel.
- FM Antenna: Connect the FM antenna to the designated port on the rear panel for radio reception. Extend the antenna for better signal.
- USB/SD Card: Insert a USB drive or SD card into the respective slots on the side of the subwoofer for direct media playback.

2.5 Power Connection
After all audio and speaker connections are made, connect the power cord to a standard electrical outlet. Ensure the power switch on the rear of the subwoofer is in the 'OFF' position before plugging in.
3. Operating Instructions
3.1 Power On/Off
Flip the power switch on the rear panel of the subwoofer to the 'ON' position. The front display will illuminate. To turn off, flip the switch back to 'OFF'.
3.2 Remote Control Functions
The included remote control provides full functionality for the speaker system. Insert two AAA batteries (not included) into the remote before use.

- Power Button: Turns the system on or off (standby mode).
- Input Selection (SD, USB, FM, AUX, BT, DVD): Selects the desired audio source.
- Volume +/-: Adjusts the master volume.
- SW +/-, CEN +/-, FL/FR +/-, SL/SR +/-: Adjusts individual speaker and subwoofer volume levels.
- Play/Pause, Next/Previous: Media playback controls for USB/SD and Bluetooth modes.
- TUNE +/-: Adjusts FM radio frequency.
- AUTO: Auto-scans and saves FM radio stations.
- EQ +/-: Adjusts equalizer settings.
- 5.1/2.1: Switches between 5.1 surround sound and 2.1 stereo modes.
3.3 Front Panel Controls
The subwoofer's front panel features a display and control buttons for basic operations.

- Display: Shows current input mode, volume level, and other status indicators.
- Input Buttons: Selects between FM, AUX, DVD, BT (Bluetooth), USB/SD.
- Volume Knob: Adjusts master volume.
3.4 Bluetooth Pairing
- Press the 'BT' button on the remote or front panel to select Bluetooth mode. The display will show 'BT' and flash, indicating pairing mode.
- On your Bluetooth-enabled device, search for available devices.
- Select 'beFree Sound' (or similar name) from the list.
- Once connected, the 'BT' indicator will stop flashing, and you can play audio from your device.
3.5 FM Radio Operation
- Press the 'FM' button on the remote or front panel to select FM radio mode.
- Press 'AUTO' on the remote to automatically scan and save available stations.
- Use 'TUNE +/-' or 'CH +/-' buttons to manually tune or navigate through saved stations.
3.6 USB/SD Playback
- Insert a USB drive or SD card containing audio files into the corresponding slot on the subwoofer.
- The system will automatically switch to USB or SD mode and begin playback. If not, press the 'USB' or 'SD' button on the remote.
- Use the Play/Pause, Next/Previous buttons on the remote to control playback.
4. Maintenance
4.1 Cleaning
To clean the speaker system, use a soft, dry cloth. Do not use liquid cleaners, aerosols, or abrasive materials, as these may damage the finish or internal components.
4.2 Storage
When not in use for extended periods, store the system in a cool, dry place, away from direct sunlight and extreme temperatures. It is recommended to use the original packaging for storage.
4.3 Safety Precautions
- Do not expose the system to water or moisture.
- Avoid placing the system near heat sources or in direct sunlight.
- Ensure adequate ventilation around the subwoofer to prevent overheating.
- Do not attempt to open or repair the unit yourself. Refer all servicing to qualified personnel.
5. Troubleshooting
If you encounter issues with your beFree Sound speaker system, refer to the following common problems and solutions:
5.1 No Power
- Check if the power cord is securely plugged into both the subwoofer and a working electrical outlet.
- Ensure the power switch on the rear of the subwoofer is in the 'ON' position.
5.2 No Sound
- Verify that the correct input source (Bluetooth, AUX, DVD, FM, USB/SD) is selected.
- Increase the master volume using the remote or front panel knob.
- Check all speaker connections to ensure they are securely plugged into the subwoofer.
- If using an external audio source, ensure its volume is turned up and it is playing audio.
5.3 Bluetooth Connection Issues
- Ensure the speaker system is in Bluetooth pairing mode ('BT' flashing on display).
- Make sure your Bluetooth device is within range (typically 10 meters) of the speaker system.
- Try unpairing and re-pairing the device.
- Restart both the speaker system and your Bluetooth device.
5.4 Remote Control Not Responding
- Check and replace the AAA batteries in the remote control.
- Ensure there are no obstructions between the remote and the subwoofer's front panel sensor.
- Point the remote directly at the subwoofer's front panel.
5.5 Poor FM Reception
- Extend the FM antenna fully.
- Adjust the position of the FM antenna for better signal reception.
- Try auto-scanning for stations again.
