This manual provides detailed instructions for the setup, operation, and maintenance of your beFree Sound BFS-5.1 5.1 Channel Bluetooth Surround Sound Speaker System. 2. Safety Instructions
- Do not expose this appliance to dripping or splashing liquids.
- Do not place objects filled with liquids, such as vases, on the appliance.
- Ensure proper ventilation. Do not block any ventilation openings.
- Place the unit on a stable, flat surface to prevent it from falling.
- Use only attachments/accessories specified by the manufacturer.

4. Product Overview
4.1 Main Unit (Subwoofer/Amplifier)
The main unit houses the amplifier, subwoofer, and all control interfaces. It features a front display, input selection buttons, and volume controls. Connectivity options include Bluetooth, USB, SD card, FM radio, AUX, and DVD audio inputs.

4.2 Satellite Speakers
The system includes five compact satellite speakers designed to deliver clear mid-range and high-frequency audio, complementing the subwoofer's bass output. These speakers connect directly to the main unit.

4.3 Remote Control
The included remote control provides convenient access to all system functions, including power, input selection, volume, and FM tuning.

5. Setup
5.1 Speaker Placement
For optimal 5.1 surround sound experience, position your speakers as follows:
- Front Left (FL) & Front Right (FR): Place these speakers to the left and right of your viewing area, equidistant from the listener.
- Center (CEN): Position this speaker directly in front of the listener, typically above or below your display.
- Surround Left (SL) & Surround Right (SR): Place these speakers to the sides or slightly behind the listening position, at ear level or slightly above.
- Subwoofer (SW): The subwoofer can be placed anywhere in the room, but typically performs well near a wall or in a corner for enhanced bass. Experiment with placement to find the best sound for your room.
5.2 Connecting Speakers to the Amplifier
Connect the five satellite speakers to the corresponding audio output ports on the rear panel of the main unit (subwoofer). Ensure each speaker cable is securely connected to its designated port (FL, FR, CEN, SL, SR, SW).

5.3 Connecting Audio Sources
- Bluetooth: No physical connection needed. See Section 6.3 for pairing instructions.
- USB/SD Card: Insert a USB drive or SD card into the respective slot on the front panel of the main unit.
- AUX Input: Use the provided audio cable (RCA to 3.5mm) to connect devices like smartphones, tablets, or MP3 players to the AUX IN ports on the rear panel.
- DVD Input: Use the provided DVD connection cables (RCA to RCA) to connect a DVD player or other compatible device to the DVD AUDIO INPUT ports on the rear panel.
- FM Antenna: Connect the included FM antenna to the FM ANT port on the rear panel for improved radio reception. Extend the antenna for best results.
5.4 Power Connection
Connect the AC power cord to the AC IN port on the rear panel of the main unit, then plug the other end into a standard wall outlet. Ensure the power switch on the rear panel is in the OFF position before connecting to power.
6. Operation
6.1 Power On/Off
Flip the power switch on the rear panel of the main unit to the ON position. The system will power on. To turn off, flip the switch to the OFF position.
6.2 Input Selection
Press the 'INPUT' button on the front panel of the main unit or the remote control to cycle through available input modes: Bluetooth (BT), USB, SD, FM, AUX, and DVD. The selected input will be displayed on the front panel.
6.3 Bluetooth Pairing
- Select 'BT' input mode on the speaker system. The display will show 'BT' and indicate it is ready for pairing.
- Enable Bluetooth on your device (smartphone, tablet, etc.) and search for available devices.
- Select 'beFree Sound' from the list of devices.
- Once paired, the system will confirm the connection, and you can begin playing audio from your device.
6.4 USB/SD Playback
Insert a USB flash drive or SD card containing MP3 audio files into the corresponding slot. The system will automatically switch to USB or SD mode and begin playback. Use the 'PLAY/PAUSE', 'PREV', and 'NEXT' buttons on the front panel or remote to control playback.
6.5 FM Radio Operation
In FM mode, press the 'AUTO' button on the remote control to automatically scan and save available radio stations. Use the 'TUNE+' and 'TUNE-' buttons to manually tune or select saved stations.
6.6 Volume Control
Adjust the master volume using the 'VOL+' and 'VOL-' buttons on the front panel or remote control. Individual speaker levels (FL, FR, CEN, SL, SR, SW) can be adjusted using the remote control for fine-tuning the surround sound experience.

8. Troubleshooting
If you encounter issues with your speaker system, refer to the following common problems and solutions:
- No Power:
- Ensure the power cord is securely plugged into both the unit and a working wall outlet.
- Check the power switch on the rear panel is in the ON position.
- No Sound:
- Verify the correct input source is selected (Bluetooth, USB, SD, FM, AUX, DVD).
- Increase the master volume level.
- Check all speaker connections to the main unit.
- Ensure the audio source device is playing and its volume is turned up.
- Bluetooth Pairing Issues:
- Ensure the speaker system is in Bluetooth mode.

- Try unpairing and re-pairing the device.
- Poor FM Reception:
- Extend the FM antenna fully.
- Adjust the position of the antenna for better signal.
