3. Setup and Installation

3.1. Battery Installation

The trackball requires batteries for wireless operation. Locate the battery compartment on the underside of the device, open it, and insert the required batteries (typically AA or AAA, refer to the device's markings for exact type and polarity). Close the compartment securely.

3.2. Connecting via 2.4GHz Wireless

1. Insert the USB receiver (dongle) into an available USB port on your computer.
2. Turn on the trackball using the power switch (usually located on the underside).
3. The device should automatically connect. If not, refer to the device's pairing instructions.

3.3. Connecting via Bluetooth

1. Ensure Bluetooth is enabled on your computer.

4.2. Adjusting DPI Settings

The trackball offers four DPI settings (400, 800, 1200, or 1600) to adjust cursor speed. 5.1. Cleaning the Trackball

To maintain optimal performance, periodically clean the trackball. The 40mm ball can be easily removed by pushing it from the underside of the device. Wipe the ball and the inside of the trackball cavity with a soft, lint-free cloth. Reinsert the ball once clean.

6.1. Connection Issues

• No cursor movement: Ensure the trackball is powered on and batteries are correctly installed. For 2.4GHz, check if the USB receiver is securely plugged in. For Bluetooth, verify the device is paired and Bluetooth is active on your computer.
• Intermittent connection: Try moving the trackball closer to your computer or USB receiver. Ensure there are no large metal objects obstructing the wireless signal.

• Erratic cursor movement: Clean the trackball and its internal cavity as described in the Maintenance section.
