Product Overview
The Kensington MY230 EQ is a rechargeable mouse designed for comfort and versatility, offering both 2.4GHz wireless and Bluetooth connectivity options.
The package includes the mouse, a USB receiver, a USB-A to USB-C charging cable, and warranty and compliance information.
Mouse Buttons and Functions
The mouse features:
- Left Click: Used for primary selection and interaction.
- Scroll Wheel / Middle Click: Used for scrolling through documents and web pages, and can also be pressed for middle-click functionality.

Power Indicator: A light indicates the power status of the mouse.
Connectivity Options
2.4GHz Wireless Connection
- Insert the USB receiver into a USB-A port on your computer.
- Turn on the mouse using the power switch. The mouse will automatically connect to the receiver.
- The power indicator will show a solid green light when connected via 2.4GHz.
Bluetooth Connection
- Ensure Bluetooth is enabled on your computer.
- Turn on the mouse using the power switch.
- Press and hold the Bluetooth pairing button for 3 seconds. The power indicator will flash blue.
- On your computer, search for Bluetooth devices and select "MY230 EQ" to pair.
- The power indicator will show a solid blue light when successfully paired via Bluetooth.
KensingtonWorks Software
Enhance your mouse experience by downloading KensingtonWorks software from kensington.com/software/kensingtonworks/. This software allows for customization of button assignments and other mouse settings.
Follow the on-screen instructions for installation and setup, typically involving a 1-2-3 step process.
Battery Status and Charging
Low Battery: When the battery level is below 10%, the power indicator will flash red.
Charging:
- Connect the USB-A to USB-C cable to the mouse and a USB power source (e.g., computer, wall adapter).
- The power indicator will show a solid red light while charging.
- Fully Charged: When the mouse is fully charged, the power indicator will turn off.
