3. Setup

Battery Installation

The Magene H603 uses a CR2032 coin cell battery. To install or replace the battery:

1. Locate the battery compartment on the back of the sensor.
2. Use a coin to gently twist the battery cover counter-clockwise to open it.
3. Insert the CR2032 battery with the positive (+) side facing upwards.
4. Align the cover and twist clockwise to secure it.

Wearing the Heart Rate Monitor

For accurate readings, follow these steps to wear the chest strap:

1. Align the heart rate module with the chest strap. The two snaps on the module should connect to the corresponding snaps on the strap.
2. Moisten the electrode areas on the back of the chest strap with a few drops of water or electrode gel. This improves conductivity.
3. Adjust the length of the chest strap so it fits comfortably and snugly around your chest, just below your pectoral muscles.
4. Position the sensor module at the center of your chest, with the Magene logo facing upwards. Ensure the electrodes are firmly against your skin.

Pairing with Devices

The Magene H603 supports both ANT+ and Bluetooth 4.2 for connectivity.

1. Wear the heart rate monitor as described above. The sensor will activate automatically when it detects a heart rate.
2. On your compatible device (e.g., cycling computer, smartwatch, smartphone app like Wahoo, Zwift, Strava, Elite HRV), go to the sensor pairing settings.
3. Select to add a new heart rate sensor. The device should detect the Magene H603.
