1. Important Safety Instructions

Please read this instruction manual carefully before using the PUR LINE HEATY B1200 Halogen Heater. Failure to follow these instructions may result in electric shock, fire, or serious injury. Keep this manual for future reference.

• Ensure the heater is connected to a power supply that matches the specifications indicated on the rating label.
• Do not operate the heater with a damaged cord or plug, or after the heater malfunctions or has been dropped or damaged in any manner.
• Keep flammable materials such as furniture, pillows, bedding, papers, clothes, and curtains at least 1 meter (3 feet) from the front of the heater and away from the sides and rear.
• Do not use the heater in areas where gasoline, paint, or flammable liquids are used or stored.
• This heater is designed for wall or ceiling mounting. Ensure it is securely installed according to the installation instructions.
• Do not cover the heater. Overheating can occur if the heater is covered.
• Do not insert or allow foreign objects to enter any ventilation or exhaust opening as this may cause an electric shock or fire, or damage the heater.
• The heater is equipped with IPX4 splash protection, making it suitable for bathroom use. However, do not immerse the heater in water or other liquids.
• Always unplug the heater when not in use or before cleaning.
• Supervise children and individuals with reduced physical, sensory, or mental capabilities when the heater is in use.

2. Product Overview

The PUR LINE HEATY B1200 is a 1200W halogen heater designed for efficient and comfortable heating in spaces up to 15 m², including bathrooms. It utilizes 4 quartz lamps and carbon infrared technology to provide immediate and pleasant warmth.

3. Setup & Installation

The HEATY B1200 heater is designed for permanent wall or ceiling mounting. Ensure the mounting surface is sturdy and can support the weight of the heater.

3.1. Choosing a Location

• Select a location that allows for proper clearance from flammable materials (at least 1 meter).
• Ensure the location is not directly above a water source or in an area prone to excessive moisture, despite the IPX4 rating.
• Consider the desired heating area and the adjustable orientation feature when choosing the mounting height and angle.

3.2. Mounting the Heater

1. Unpack the heater and check for any damage. Retain packaging for future transport or storage.
2. Identify the mounting brackets on the back of the heater.
3. Mark the drilling points on the wall or ceiling according to the heater's mounting bracket dimensions.
4. Drill holes and insert appropriate wall plugs (if necessary for your wall type).
5. Securely attach the heater to the wall or ceiling using screws. Ensure it is firmly fixed and level.

3.3. Power Connection

• Once mounted, plug the heater's power cord into a suitable electrical outlet.
• Ensure the outlet is easily accessible and not overloaded with other appliances.

4. Operating Instructions

The HEATY B1200 heater is operated using a pull chain and features two power settings.

4.1. Power On/Off and Power Level Selection

1. To turn on (600W): Pull the chain once. The heater will activate at the lower power setting (600W).
2. To increase power (1200W): Pull the chain a second time. The heater will switch to the higher power setting (1200W).
3. To turn off: Pull the chain a third time. The heater will turn off.

4.2. Adjusting Quartz Orientation

The heating head of the HEATY B1200 can be manually adjusted to direct the heat flow. Gently tilt the heater body to the desired angle. Ensure the heater is cool before adjusting its orientation to avoid burns.

5. Maintenance

Regular maintenance ensures the longevity and efficient operation of your heater.

5.1. Cleaning

1. Always unplug the heater from the power outlet and allow it to cool completely before cleaning.
2. Wipe the exterior surfaces of the heater with a soft, damp cloth. Do not use abrasive cleaners or solvents.
3. Ensure no water enters the interior of the heater.
4. Do not attempt to clean the heating elements directly.
5. Allow the heater to dry completely before plugging it back in.

5.2. Storage

If storing the heater for an extended period, unplug it and ensure it is clean and dry. Store it in a cool, dry place, preferably in its original packaging, to protect it from dust and damage.
