1. Introduction

The SKYRC T100 is a twin-channel balance charger designed for various battery chemistries. It features two independent charging circuits, allowing simultaneous charging of different battery types and configurations. This charger is suitable for LiPo, LiFe, LiIon, LiHV, NiMH, NiCd, and Pb batteries, offering a maximum charging power of 100W (50W per channel) and a charging current of up to 5A.

Its compact design includes convenient front-loading balance and XT60 ports, enhancing ease of use and safety.

2. Safety Instructions

Read all instructions and warnings carefully before use. Failure to do so may result in property damage, personal injury, or death.

• Never leave the charger unattended during operation.

5. Setup

1. Unpack: Carefully remove the charger and all accessories from the packaging.
2. Power Connection: Connect the supplied AC power cord to the charger's AC input port and then plug it into a suitable AC 100-240V wall outlet. The charger will power on, and the LCD display will illuminate.
3. Battery Connection: For each battery you wish to charge, connect its main power lead to the XT60 port (A or B) and its balance lead (if applicable) to the corresponding balance port (2-4S) on the charger. Ensure correct polarity.

6. Operating Instructions

The SKYRC T100 features four control buttons: BATT/PROG Stop, DEC STATUS (left arrow), INC STATUS (right arrow), and ENTER Start.

6.1 Navigating the Menu

• Use the DEC STATUS and INC STATUS buttons to scroll through menu options or adjust values.
• Press ENTER Start to confirm a selection or enter a submenu.
• Press BATT/PROG Stop to go back to the previous menu or stop an ongoing process.

6.2 Charging Procedure (General)

1. Select Channel: The charger will typically display information for both channels. Use the arrow buttons to highlight the channel (A or B) you wish to configure.
2. Select Battery Type: Press ENTER Start to enter the battery type selection. Use the arrow buttons to choose the correct battery chemistry (e.g., LiPo, NiMH, Pb) and press ENTER Start to confirm.
3. Set Charge Mode: Select the desired charge mode (e.g., Balance Charge, Fast Charge, Storage, Discharge for Lithium batteries; Charge for NiMH/NiCd/Pb).
4. Adjust Parameters: Set the charge current (e.g., 0.1A-5.0A) and cell count/voltage (for Lithium batteries) using the arrow buttons. Ensure these settings match your battery's specifications.
5. Start Charging: Once all parameters are set, press and hold the ENTER Start button for a few seconds to initiate the charging process. The charger will perform a pre-charge check.
6. Monitor Progress: The LCD will display real-time charging information, including current, voltage, and charged capacity.
7. Stop Charging: To stop charging at any time, press the BATT/PROG Stop button. The charger will automatically stop when the battery is fully charged.

6.3 Specific Charging Modes

• Balance Charge (LiPo/LiFe/LiIon/LiHV): Recommended for Lithium batteries to ensure all cells are charged to the same voltage, extending battery life. Requires balance lead connection.
• Charge (NiMH/NiCd/Pb): Standard charging mode for these battery types.
• AGM Mode (Pb Battery): Select this mode for Absorbent Glass Mat (AGM) lead-acid batteries.
• Cold Charge Mode (Pb Battery): Use this mode when charging Pb batteries in low-temperature environments.

7. Maintenance

• Cleaning: Regularly clean the charger's exterior with a soft, dry cloth. Do not use solvents or abrasive cleaners.
• Ventilation: Ensure the charger's ventilation openings are clear of dust and debris to prevent overheating.
• Storage: Store the charger in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight and moisture when not in use.
• Cable Inspection: Periodically inspect all cables and connectors for signs of wear or damage. Replace damaged components immediately.

8. Troubleshooting

• Charger does not power on:
  • Check if the AC power cord is securely connected to both the charger and the wall outlet.
  • Verify the wall outlet has power.
• Charging does not start:
  • Ensure the battery is correctly connected to the charger (main and balance leads, if applicable).
  • Verify that the battery type and cell count settings match the connected battery.
  • Check for any error messages on the LCD display and refer to the manual for their meaning.
  • Ensure you have pressed and held the ENTER Start button to initiate charging.
