Introduction
This manual provides essential information for the proper setup, operation, and maintenance of your Timex Expedition North Field Post Solar 36mm Watch (Model TW2V00200JR). Please read these instructions carefully to ensure optimal performance and longevity of your timepiece.
Setup
Initial Charging
Your Timex Expedition North Field Post Solar watch is powered by light. Before initial use, or if the watch has stopped, expose the dial to a strong light source (natural sunlight is ideal) for several hours. A full charge provides approximately four months of power reserve. Regular exposure to light will maintain the charge.
Setting the Time
- Pull the crown out to the outermost position.
- Rotate the crown to set the hour and minute hands to the correct time. Note the 24-hour markers for accurate time setting.
- Push the crown back into its normal position to start the watch.
Adjusting the Strap
The watch features an adjustable brown Ecco DriTan leather strap with quick-release spring bars. To adjust the fit, use the buckle to select the appropriate hole. For strap replacement, the quick-release spring bars allow for easy removal and attachment of compatible 18mm straps.

Operating the Watch
Reading the Dial
The watch features a black dial with full Arabic numerals for standard 12-hour time and inner 24-hour markers for military time. The hands are luminant for visibility in low-light conditions.
Water Resistance
This watch is water-resistant to 100 meters (330 feet). This rating makes it suitable for snorkeling and swimming. It is not recommended for diving. Ensure the crown is fully pushed in before any water exposure.

Maintenance and Care
Solar Charging Best Practices
- To maintain optimal charge, expose the watch to light regularly.
- Avoid prolonged storage in dark places, as this can deplete the power reserve.
- Do not place the watch directly on hot surfaces or expose it to extreme temperatures during charging.
Cleaning the Watch
Wipe the watch case and crystal with a soft, dry cloth. For stubborn dirt, a slightly damp cloth can be used, followed by immediate drying. Avoid harsh chemicals or abrasive materials.
Strap Care
The Ecco DriTan leather strap should be kept dry and clean. Avoid prolonged exposure to water, direct sunlight, or extreme humidity, as these can damage the leather. Clean with a soft, damp cloth and allow to air dry naturally.

Troubleshooting
Watch Not Running
If the watch stops, it may be due to insufficient charge. Expose the watch to a strong light source for several hours to recharge the solar cell. The second hand may move in two-second intervals when the charge is low, indicating a need for charging.
Time Inaccuracy
If the time is inaccurate, reset the time as described in the 'Setting the Time' section. Ensure the crown is fully pushed in after setting.
Water Intrusion
If moisture appears inside the watch, or if the watch has been exposed to water beyond its rated resistance, contact customer support immediately. Do not attempt to open the watch yourself.
