3. Setup
3.1 Initial Charging
Before first use, fully charge the battery using a compatible Einhell Power X-Change charger. Insert the battery into the charger, ensuring it clicks securely into place. The charger's indicator lights will show the charging status. Once fully charged, remove the battery from the charger.
3.2 Inserting the Battery into a Tool
To insert the battery into an Einhell Power X-Change tool, align the battery with the battery slot on the tool. Slide the battery firmly into the slot until you hear a click, indicating it is securely locked in place. To remove the battery, press the release button(s) on the tool (if present) and slide the battery out.

4.1 Checking Charge Level
The Einhell 18 V 4.0 Ah Power X-Change PLUS battery features a 3-stage LED display that indicates the current charge status. Press the button next to the LED indicators to illuminate them. Three illuminated LEDs indicate a full charge, two indicate a partial charge, and one indicates a low charge, requiring recharging.

4.2 PLUS Technology
The integrated PLUS technology provides enhanced power output, making the battery suitable for more demanding and intensive applications. This technology optimizes the performance of the lithium-ion cells for maximum efficiency.

4.3 TWIN-PACK Use
The 18V 4.0 Ah PXC PLUS battery is also suitable for TWIN PACK use in 36V applications. This means two 18V batteries can be combined to power 36V Einhell tools, effectively doubling the voltage for increased power and runtime.

4.4 ABS Battery Management System
The process-driven ABS active battery management system continuously monitors the battery settings using an integrated microprocessor. This system ensures maximum safety, optimal device performance, maximum runtime, and extended service life by preventing overcharging, deep discharge, and overheating.

5. Maintenance
5.1 Cleaning

When storing the battery for extended periods, ensure it is partially charged (around 50%). Store it in a cool, dry place, away from direct sunlight, extreme temperatures (below 0°C or above 40°C), and high humidity. This helps to preserve battery life and performance.
