Setup

Connecting the Keyboard

1. Locate the USB-C port on the top right side of the keyboard.
2. Connect the USB-C end of the provided cable to the keyboard.
3. Connect the USB-A end of the cable to an available USB port on your computer.
4. The keyboard will automatically power on and the RGB lighting will illuminate. No additional drivers are typically required for basic functionality.

Key Features

65% Compact Layout

The W-K68 features a 65% layout with 68 keys, offering a compact design while retaining essential arrow keys. This provides a balance between space-saving and functionality, making it ideal for users who require arrow keys without the full size of a Tenkeyless (TKL) keyboard.

Acrylic Casing

Hot-Swappable Switches

It supports both 3-pin and 5-pin mechanical switches, providing flexibility for customization with various Gateron, Kailh, Cherry, or other compatible switches. The keyboard comes pre-installed with linear switches.

Operating Instructions

The W-K68 keyboard features various function key combinations to control its features. Use the FN key in conjunction with other keys to access these functions:

• FN + 1~0: Access F1-F12 function keys.
• FN + ↑: Increase backlight brightness (OFF-33%-66%-100%, default 100%).
• FN + ↓: Decrease backlight brightness (OFF-33%-66%-100%, default 100%).
• FN + Ins: Page Up.
• FN + Del: Page Down.
• FN + Backspace: Press and hold for 3 seconds to restore factory settings.
• FN + Right Ctrl: Change keyboard backlight effects (18 types of light effects available).
• FN + Left Ctrl: Control side light effects (default dynamic rim RGB lights).
• FN + Space: Activate color palette to display various colors on each key. Press the desired color key, and all keys will automatically change to match.

Maintenance

Cleaning the Keyboard

Regular cleaning helps maintain the keyboard's performance and appearance. Use the provided cleaning brush to remove dust and debris from between the keycaps. For deeper cleaning, you may remove the keycaps using the keycap puller and gently wipe the surface with a soft, damp cloth.

Swapping Switches

To replace a switch:

1. Carefully remove the keycap using the keycap puller.
2. Use the switch puller to gently grip the top and bottom clips of the switch.
3. Pull the switch straight up to remove it from the PCB.
4. Align the pins of the new switch with the holes on the PCB.
5. Press the new switch firmly until it clicks into place. Ensure it is seated correctly to avoid bent pins.
6. Reattach the keycap.

Stabilizer Maintenance

Some users may experience rattling from the stabilizers (especially on larger keys like the spacebar). To address this, you can:

• Apply a small amount of dielectric grease to the stabilizer wires.
• Perform a 'band-aid mod' by placing small pieces of tape under the stabilizer stems where they contact the PCB.

Troubleshooting

• Keyboard not responding: Ensure the USB cable is securely connected to both the keyboard and the computer. Try a different USB port or cable.
• RGB lighting not working: Check the brightness settings using FN + ↑. Ensure the keyboard is properly connected. If issues persist, try restoring factory settings (FN + Backspace for 3 seconds).
• Keys not registering: If a specific key is not working, try removing and re-inserting its switch. If the problem persists, consider replacing the switch.
• Rattling stabilizers: Refer to the 'Stabilizer Maintenance' section for solutions.
