Introduction

Thank you for purchasing the BALMUDA Phone. This manual provides essential information for setting up, operating, maintaining, and troubleshooting your device. Please read this manual thoroughly before using your phone to ensure proper and safe operation.

1. Setup

1.1 Unboxing and Initial Inspection

Carefully remove all components from the packaging. Verify that all items are present:

• BALMUDA Phone (X01A-WH)
• USB-C Cable
• SIM Ejector Tool
• Quick Start Guide

Inspect the device for any physical damage before proceeding.

1.2 Inserting the SIM Card

1. Locate the SIM card tray on the side of the phone.
2. Insert the SIM ejector tool into the small hole next to the tray and press gently until the tray pops out.
3. Place your nano-SIM card onto the tray with the gold contacts facing down and the cut corner aligned.
4. Carefully push the tray back into the slot until it is flush with the phone's body.

1.3 Initial Charging and Power On

Before first use, it is recommended to fully charge the BALMUDA Phone.

• Connect the USB-C cable to the phone's charging port and the other end to a compatible USB PD3.0 charger (not included) or a standard USB power adapter.
• The phone supports wireless charging. Place the phone on a compatible Qi-certified wireless charging pad for convenient charging.
• To power on, press and hold the Power button located on the side of the device until the BALMUDA logo appears.

2. Operating Instructions

2.1 Basic Functions

• Power On/Off: Press and hold the Power button. Select 'Power off' or 'Restart' from the on-screen menu.
• Volume Control: Use the Volume Up and Volume Down buttons on the side of the device to adjust media, call, and alarm volumes.
• Screen Lock/Unlock: Briefly press the Power button to lock or unlock the screen.

2.2 Display and Navigation

The BALMUDA Phone features a 4.9-inch Full HD display (1920x1080 pixels). Navigate the interface using touch gestures:

• Tap: Select an item or open an app.
• Swipe: Scroll through lists or switch between home screens.
• Pinch-to-zoom: Enlarge or reduce content on the screen.

2.3 Camera Usage

The phone is equipped with a 48-megapixel rear camera (max 12MP recording) and an 8-megapixel front camera.

1. Open the Camera app from the home screen or app drawer.
2. Tap the shutter button to take a photo.
3. Switch between front and rear cameras using the camera toggle icon.
4. Explore various modes and settings within the camera app for optimal results.

2.4 Biometric Authentication (Fingerprint)

The BALMUDA Phone supports fingerprint authentication for secure unlocking and app access.

1. Go to Settings > Security > Fingerprint.
2. Follow the on-screen instructions to register your fingerprint.
3. Once registered, you can use your fingerprint to unlock the device or authorize purchases.

2.5 NFC and FeliCa

The device is equipped with NFC (TypeA/B/F) and FeliCa capabilities, enabling contactless payments and data exchange.

• Ensure NFC is enabled in Settings > Connected devices > NFC.
• To use FeliCa for payments, set up your preferred payment method in a compatible app.
• Tap the back of your phone to a compatible reader to complete transactions or exchange data.

3. Maintenance

3.1 Cleaning Your Device

To maintain the appearance and functionality of your BALMUDA Phone:

• Use a soft, lint-free cloth to wipe the screen and body.
• Avoid using harsh chemicals, abrasive cleaners, or aerosol sprays.
• Do not spray cleaners directly onto the phone.

3.2 Water and Dust Resistance

The BALMUDA Phone is rated IPX4 for splash resistance and IP4X for dust resistance. This means it is protected against splashing water from any direction and against solid objects larger than 1.0 mm.

• Do not intentionally submerge the phone in water.
• Avoid exposing the phone to high-pressure water jets.
• Ensure all ports and covers are securely closed to maintain resistance.

3.3 Battery Care

The phone is equipped with a 2,500mAh battery. To prolong battery life:

• Avoid extreme temperatures.
• Do not leave the phone fully charged or fully discharged for extended periods.
• Use only approved chargers and cables.
