2. Setup
2.1 Attaching to a Light Stand
The ML300 strobe light can be easily mounted onto standard light stands. Ensure the stand is stable and capable of supporting the weight of the strobe and any attached modifiers.

This image illustrates the process of attaching the ML300 strobe light to a light stand. For Manfrotto light stands, unscrew the top screw adapter before attaching to the mounting bracket.
- Secure the ML300 onto the light stand's mounting bracket.
- Tighten the adjustment knob to fix the strobe's position.
- Note: When using with Manfrotto light stands, unscrew the top screw adapter from the stand before attaching the ML300.
2.2 Battery Installation
The ML300 is powered by a high-capacity Li-ion battery. Proper installation ensures reliable operation.

This image shows the installation of the 7800mAh lithium battery, which provides 1000 full-power flashes and a fast 0.4-2.5s recycle time. The battery supports AC 220-240V charging.
- Locate the battery compartment on the strobe unit.
- Insert the Li-ion battery (7800mAh, 10.8V) into the compartment, ensuring it clicks securely into place.
- To remove, press the battery release button and slide the battery out.
2.3 Attaching Light Modifiers
The ML300 features a Bowens mount, allowing for a wide range of compatible light modifiers.

The ML300 features a Bowens mount for attaching various light modifiers like softboxes, conical snoots, and beauty dishes. It also allows for 180° front and rear angle adjustment for precise light positioning.
- Align the Bowens mount of your chosen modifier (e.g., reflector, softbox) with the mount on the ML300.
- Twist the modifier clockwise until it locks into place.
- To remove, press the release button on the Bowens mount and twist the modifier counter-clockwise.
3. Operating Instructions
3.1 Powering On/Off
Press and hold the power button to turn the ML300 on or off. The display screen will illuminate upon activation.
3.2 Flash Modes
The ML300 supports several flash modes for different photographic needs:

Examples of manual flash power settings (1/1 to 1/64) and the effect of multi-flash mode for capturing motion. The unit also supports S1 and S2 optical slave modes with an effective trigger distance of 20 meters.
- Manual (M) Mode: Allows manual adjustment of flash power from 1/64 to 1/1 in 6 f-stop increments.
- Multi Mode: Enables multiple flashes during a single exposure, useful for capturing motion sequences. Flash duration ranges from 1/1000s to 1/10000s.
- S1/S2 Optical Slave Modes: The ML300 can be triggered by another flash. S1 mode triggers on the first flash, while S2 mode ignores the pre-flash of a TTL system and triggers on the main flash. Effective trigger distance is approximately 20 meters.
Note: The ML300 does not support TTL (Through-The-Lens) or HSS (High-Speed Sync) modes.
3.3 Modeling Lamp
The ML300 includes a 13W LED modeling lamp (1370 Lumen) to assist with lighting preview and focusing.
