Causes for Misfires and Solutions
- Signal Interference: Adjust channel settings or turn off other 2.4GHz devices.
- Flash Recycling/Overheating: Lower flash power output or switch to M mode if in TTL. Ensure flash is ready and not overheated.
- Proximity Issues: Turn on "near-range wireless mode" and set "C.Fn-DIST" to "0-30m" if the distance between trigger and flash is less than 0.5m.
- Low Power: Replace batteries. 1.5V disposable alkaline batteries are recommended.
Notes
Handle the trigger with care to avoid malfunction due to impact or vibration. Keep away from water and high humidity. Protect from condensation due to sudden temperature changes. Avoid strong static electricity or magnetic fields. Ensure correct battery installation, power switch status, channel settings, and connections. For focusing issues, check camera and lens focus settings (AF/MF). Change trigger channels to avoid interference from other wireless systems.
