2. Important Safety Instructions

• Always place the appliance on a stable, heat-resistant surface, away from walls or other appliances, to allow for proper air circulation.
• Do not immerse the appliance, power cord, or plug in water or any other liquid.
• Ensure the voltage indicated on the appliance corresponds to your local mains voltage before connecting.

4. Setup

Before using your Tefal EasyFry FW501 for the first time, follow these steps:

5.1 Control Panel Overview

• Power Button: To turn the appliance on/off.

• 9 Functions: Air Fry, Roast, Grill, Bake, Broil, Dehydrate, Toast, Rotisserie, Reheat.
• 8 Pre-set Programs: Fries, Chicken, Meat, Fish, Pizza, Dessert, Grill, Dehydration.

5.3 General Operation

1. Preparation: Place your food inside the appliance using the appropriate accessory (e.g., fries basket, grill plate, rotisserie spit).
2. Power On: Press the power button.
3. Select Program: Use the Menu button to cycle through the 8 pre-set programs. The display will show the default time and temperature for the selected program.
4. Adjust Settings (Optional): Use the temperature and time control arrows to adjust settings if needed. The timer can be set for up to 60 minutes (24 hours for dehydration mode).
5. Start Cooking: Press the Start/Pause button to begin cooking.
6. Monitor Progress: Use the large viewing window to check on your food without opening the door. You can also press the light button to illuminate the interior.
7. End of Cooking: The appliance will beep when cooking is complete. Carefully remove the food using heat-resistant utensils.

5.4 Dehydration Function

The dehydration mode allows you to create healthy dried snacks from fruits, vegetables, and even meat.

Use the dehydrating racks for best results. The timer for dehydration can be set for up to 24 hours.

5.5 Rotisserie Function

The rotisserie function is ideal for roasting whole chickens or larger cuts of meat, ensuring even cooking and a crispy exterior.

Attach the chicken or meat to the rotisserie spit and insert it into the appliance according to the instructions in the accessory guide. Press the rotisserie button on the control panel to activate rotation.

• Unplug and Cool: Always unplug the appliance and allow it to cool completely before cleaning.
• Appliance Exterior: Wipe the exterior with a damp cloth. Do not use abrasive cleaners or scouring pads.
• Removable Parts: The dehydrating racks, oil tray, chicken fork, fries basket, and grill plate are dishwasher-safe for easy cleaning. For stubborn food residue, soak them in warm soapy water before washing.
• Interior: Wipe the interior with a damp cloth. For baked-on food, a non-abrasive sponge with warm soapy water can be used. Ensure the interior is dry before next use.
• Storage: Store the appliance in a dry place, away from direct sunlight and out of reach of children.
