3. Safety Information and Important Notes
- This device does not support 5.1 channel audio signals such as Dolby AC3 or DTS. Ensure your digital audio source is set to PCM or LPCM output.
- Before connecting the Toslink (optical) cable, remove the protective plastic caps from both ends of the cable.
- Use a stable 5V/1A USB power source for optimal performance.
- Do not expose the device to moisture or extreme temperatures.
4. Setup Instructions
Follow these steps to connect your Digital to Analog Audio Converter:
- Connect Power: Connect the provided USB power cable to the DC/5V input port on the converter. Plug the other end into a 5V/1A USB power adapter (not included) or a USB port on your TV/device. The power indicator LED on the converter will illuminate.
- Connect Digital Audio Source:
- For Optical (Toslink) connection: Connect one end of the Toslink cable to the OPTICAL input port on the converter and the other end to the optical output port of your digital audio source (e.g., TV, Blu-ray player, game console). Remember to remove protective caps.
- For Coaxial connection: Connect one end of the coaxial cable to the COAXIAL input port on the converter and the other end to the coaxial output port of your digital audio source.
- Connect Analog Audio Output:
- For RCA Stereo: Connect an RCA L/R cable (not included) to the L/R RCA output ports on the converter and the other end to the L/R analog input ports of your stereo amplifier, active speakers, or home theater system.
- For Headphones: Connect your 3.5mm headphones to the 3.5mm headphone jack output on the converter.
- Configure Audio Source: This is a critical step. Access the audio settings menu on your digital audio source (e.g., TV, game console, media player) and set the digital audio output format to PCM or LPCM. If this setting is not correctly configured, you will not get any sound or will experience distorted audio.

5. Operating Instructions
Once all connections are made and your digital audio source is configured to output PCM/LPCM, the converter will automatically process the digital audio signal. Simply play audio from your source device, and the sound will be output through the connected analog stereo system or headphones.
- Ensure the volume on your analog audio system or headphones is set to an appropriate level before playing audio.
- The converter does not have volume control; volume adjustments must be made on your connected analog audio device.

6. Troubleshooting
- No Sound Output:
- Verify all cables are securely connected.
- Ensure the converter is powered on (LED indicator is lit).
- Crucially, check your digital audio source's settings and confirm the digital audio output is set to PCM or LPCM. (Refer to Image 4.2).
- Check the volume level on your connected analog audio device.
- If using an optical cable, ensure the protective plastic caps have been removed from both ends.
- Distorted or Intermittent Sound:
- Confirm the digital audio source is outputting PCM/LPCM, not Dolby or DTS.
- Check for loose cable connections.
- Try a different USB power source to rule out insufficient power.
- Humming or Buzzing Noise:
- This might be a ground loop issue. Try powering the converter from a different USB port or a dedicated USB wall adapter.
- Ensure all audio cables are of good quality and properly shielded.
