Operating Instructions
Follow these steps for optimal pressure cooking results:
1. Adding Ingredients and Liquid
Always add a minimum amount of liquid (water, broth, wine) to the pressure cooker. Do not fill the pressure cooker to more than 2/3 ("max" mark) of its size capacity. For foods that expand, such as rice or beans, do not fill more than 1/2 of the capacity.

2. Closing the Lid
Place the lid on the pot, aligning the positioning aid. Turn the lid to the right until it clicks into place. The green locking indicator on the handle will become visible, confirming the lid is securely sealed.

3. Setting Cooking Level and Monitoring Pressure
The Vitavit Premium features a color-coded traffic light system on the control knob for easy monitoring. Rotate the control knob to select one of the 4 adjustable settings for gentle or quick cooking. The induction compatible pressure cooker also features the Novogrill base, ideal for browning with a grill effect.
- Yellow ring: Right temperature almost reached, time to reduce the heat.
- Green ring: Cooking temperature reached; cooking time starts now. Regulate the heat so it remains in the green area.
- Red ring: The temperature is too high. The pot will automatically begin to release pressure. Simply turn down the heat.

4. Pressure Release
Once cooking is complete, pressure can be released in two ways: naturally (allowing pressure to drop on its own) or quickly using the pressure release feature at the pressure indicator or the control button at the side of the safety handle. Always ensure all pressure is released before attempting to open the lid.

5. Using the Steamer Insert
The included steamer insert allows for healthy steaming of vegetables, fish, or other delicate foods above the liquid, preserving their nutrients and flavor.
