2. Setup and Installation
2.1 Setting the Combination Code
The key safe uses a 12-digit combination. Follow these steps to set your desired code. Remember to record your code in a safe place.
- Step 1: Open the Key Box. Rotate the switch on the inside of the key box to the open position.
- Step 2: Prepare for Code Setting. Rotate the switch again to the code setting position.
- Step 3: Set Your Code. Use the provided screwdriver to rotate the desired number buttons 180 degrees on the back of the keypad. Only the selected numbers will be part of your combination. The 'C' button acts as a cancel button and is not part of the code.
- Step 4: Record Your Code. It is crucial to write down your new password or take a photo of it. If the code is forgotten, the box cannot be opened without dismantling.
- Step 5: Enter New Code. After setting the passwords, enter the new combination on the keypad.
- Step 6: Verify. If you can open the key safe with the new password, the code has been successfully set.

4. Maintenance
The KTUEOV Key Safe is designed with a weatherproof cover to protect it from environmental elements. To ensure its longevity and proper function:
- Regularly inspect the weatherproof cover for any damage or cracks.
- Clean the exterior periodically with a damp cloth to remove dirt and debris. Avoid abrasive cleaners.
- Ensure the combination buttons and the turning knob operate smoothly. If they become stiff, a small amount of silicone-based lubricant can be applied, avoiding direct contact with the internal coding mechanism.
