3. Setup and Assembly

Follow these steps to assemble your infrared paint curing lamp:

Assembly steps for DATOUBOSS Infrared Paint Curing Lamp

Figure 3.1: Visual guide for the assembly process.

  1. Install the Base: Manually remove the nut from the telescopic bracket. Adjust the bolt to the middle position. Align the two holes on the lamp unit with the holes on the base of the bracket and insert the bolt. Then, tighten the nut securely.
  2. Install the Connection Board: Align the internal thread through holes on the connecting plate with the holes on both sides of the mounting plate (lamp unit). Tighten the nuts to ensure the connecting plate is perpendicular to the mounting plate.
  3. Connect the Bracket: Remove the rotating nut on the top of the telescopic bracket. Align the hole in the middle of the connecting plate (which is now attached to the lamp unit) with the top of the bracket. Insert and tighten the nut to secure the lamp unit to the bracket.
  4. Adjust the Height: Utilize the two rotating devices on the telescopic bracket to adjust the lamp's height. This allows for free expansion and contraction to achieve desired working heights. The telescopic length ranges from 70 cm to 160 cm.

4. Operating Instructions

This section outlines the proper procedure for operating your infrared paint curing lamp.

4.1. Initial Setup

  • Place the assembled lamp on a stable, level surface.
  • Ensure the work area is well-ventilated and free from flammable materials.
  • Adjust the lamp's height and angle using the telescopic bracket and the 270° adjustable working angle mechanism to target the desired curing area.

  • Plug the power cord into a compatible 220V 50Hz electrical outlet.

4.2. Curing Process

  1. Power On: Locate the power switch on the lamp unit and turn it to the "ON" position. The infrared tubes will begin to glow and heat up.
  2. Positioning: Position the lamp so that the infrared light is directed evenly over the paint surface to be cured. Maintain a safe distance to prevent overheating or damage to the paint.
  3. Curing Time: The curing time will vary depending on the type of paint, thickness, ambient temperature, and desired finish. The lamp is designed for fast drying, often achieving results in approximately 10 minutes for small areas.

Figure 4.2.1: The lamp provides rapid heating for fast drying, typically within 10 minutes.

  4. Monitoring: Continuously monitor the curing process to prevent over-curing or damage. The operating temperature can reach up to 200°C.
  5. Power Off: Once curing is complete, turn the power switch to the "OFF" position.
  6. Cool Down: Allow the lamp to cool down completely before handling or storing. The lamp and surrounding area will remain hot for some time after being turned off.

Note: This lamp is most effective for spot repairs and smaller curing areas. For larger surfaces, the curing effect may be reduced, and heating time will be longer.

5. Maintenance

Regular maintenance ensures the longevity and optimal performance of your DATOUBOSS Infrared Paint Curing Lamp.

  • Cleaning:
    • Always unplug the lamp and allow it to cool completely before cleaning.
    • Wipe the exterior surfaces with a soft, damp cloth. Do not use abrasive cleaners or solvents.
    • Keep the reflector and infrared tubes clean for maximum efficiency. Gently wipe with a dry, lint-free cloth.
  • Inspection:
    • Periodically inspect the power cord and plug for any signs of damage. If damaged, do not use the lamp and contact customer support.
    • Check all nuts and bolts for tightness, especially after assembly or relocation.
  • Lamp Tube Replacement: The quartz halogen infrared tubes have a long lifespan (up to 6000 hours). If a tube needs replacement, contact qualified personnel or customer support for guidance. Ensure the replacement tube matches the original specifications.
  • Storage: When not in use, store the lamp in a dry, dust-free environment, away from extreme temperatures and direct sunlight.
