4. Setup

Before first use, follow these steps:

  1. Unpack: Carefully remove all packaging materials and ensure all components are present.
  2. Clean: Wash the reusable filter and filter basket in warm, soapy water. Rinse thoroughly and dry. Wipe the exterior of the coffee maker with a damp cloth.
  3. First Brew Cycle (Cleaning): Fill the water reservoir with clean water up to the MAX line. Place an empty mug on the drip tray. Do not add coffee grounds. Press the brew button to run a cycle of plain water through the machine. Discard the water. This cleans the internal components and removes any manufacturing residue.
  4. Position: Place the coffee maker on a stable, flat, heat-resistant surface, away from the edge of the counter.

5. Operating Instructions

Follow these steps to brew a single cup of coffee:

  1. Prepare Coffee Grounds: Open the lid of the coffee maker. Place the reusable filter into the filter basket. Add your desired amount of ground coffee into the reusable filter. Do not overfill. (Recommended: 2 tablespoons for 14oz of water).
  2. Add Water: Fill your mug with the desired amount of fresh, cold water (up to 14oz). Pour this water into the water reservoir of the coffee maker. Close the lid securely.
  3. Place Mug: Place your empty coffee mug or travel mug (max 7 inches tall) on the drip tray.
  4. Start Brewing: Plug the power cord into a standard electrical outlet. Press the brew button. The indicator light will illuminate, and brewing will begin.
  5. Enjoy: The coffee maker will automatically shut off once the brewing cycle is complete and the water reservoir is empty. Carefully remove your hot mug of freshly brewed coffee.

  4. Rinse Cycles: After the descaling cycle, discard the solution. Fill the reservoir with fresh, clean water and run 2-3 full brewing cycles with plain water to rinse out any remaining descaling solution.
